Sure chemistry won’t happen overnight. But we are in a unique situation where in our playoff standing we can get the guy plenty of reps before the games that really matter. Either that or we also have the tolerance to make some mistakes early on as long as they don’t kill mahomes

BWillie 11-23-2024 04:31 PM

This guy could show up tomorrow. Drink a 12 pack and eat all the Topsys popcorn in the stadium. And still be better than the shit we've put out at LT this year

Coming off injury, new team after a decade in the league... Only makes sense.

Yeah I think we first see him against the Chargers. Gives him 2 weeks of practice to knock the rust off and getting some chemistry with the rest of the line and Mahomes.

Anthony Hitchens - LB - B ( 4 yrs, 3 sacks, 381 tackles) Solid starter provided stability in the LB corps post Derrick Johnson.
Chad Henne - QB - A - Henne-thing is possible - when he was in he was money.
Xavier Williams - DT - C+ ( 2 yrs, 2.5 sacks) Solid contributor on the D-line.
Orlando Scandrick - CB - C+ ( 1 yr, 1 INT, 7 Games started) Lost starting job to Chavarious Ward.
Damian Williams - RB - A - (2 yrs, 12 TDs, 1,127 yards) Solid contributor in a RBBC with Ware, Hunt, Darrell Williams and Charcandrick West.
Jeff Allen - G - C+

2019:
Bashaud Breeland - CB - A (2 yrs, 4 INT, 2 FR) Solid starter at CB.
Tyrann Mathieu - S - A - (3 yrs, 13 INT, 4 FR) Solid starter at S that made business decisions in his last year.

Damien Wilson - LB - C+ - (2 yrs, 1.5 sacks)
LeSean McCoy - RB - B - (1 yr, 5 TDs, 646 yards) Valuable contributor during the regular season, ball security issues led to him being a healthy scratch during the post-season

2020:
Mike Remmers - OT - C - Versatile swing tackle that got beat up badly in SB LV in place of Eric Fisher, finished his Chiefs career on the IR in 2021.
Antonio Hamilton - CB - C- - (1 yr) - primarily a reserve
Rickey Seals-Jones - TE - F - (1 yr) - Never saw any action, was 4th TE buried behind Deion Yelder and Nick Keizer.

Le'veon Bell - RB - C - (1 yr, 2 TDs, 353 yards) Little used...something didn't click with him and Andy.

2021:
Joe Thuney - OG - A+ - Solid starter at LG that has made the interior of the Chiefs OL a concrete wall.
Kyle Long - OG - F - Long shot at resurrecting his career never played a down, thankfully Trey Smith didn't look back.
Austin Blythe - OC - C - Veteran insurance that was never needed as Creed Humphrey took the job from day 1.

You got Orlando Scandrick way too high and Damien Wilson way too low.

I like this addition, and Bart Vatch seems to know what he’s doing.

Should this include midseason too? Because I’d say wisnewski, Suggs and pennel were A+.

Haven’t read through the whole thread so my apologies if it’s a repost.

Pff is far from perfect, but here are DJs pass blocking grades each year from PFF:

2023 68.4
2022 80.5
2021 65.5
2020 79.9
2019 76.3

Eric Fishers pass block grades

2021 61.0
2020 76.1
2019 74.2
2018 72.5
2017 75.4

If his knee is gtg, he can end up as our LT the next 2-3 years and make Mahomes great again.

Thanks for this. He definitely could be a very solid pickup.

Been out of pocket but just saw this. Nice.

Be real nice if he could play for a few years
