After giving Mizzou a good, old fashioned 'Mike Dixon' last night, I'm being regaled by Wyatt (poorly) as the Cats are in a tight game with Roy's UNC 'keeds".
|
Cats hanging in with 6 to play.
|
Good game. To the wire!
|
I may have to learn the names on this roster.

Game turned when a charge was called a block (ref underneath right next to play called charge, ref toward half court overruled him and called charge) and then they didn't call offensive goal tending. Four points handed to UNC when KState was making their run. Frustrating. Overall game was called pretty well, but those two swung things a bit.
I'll give Bruce credit, he risked turning over the roster, and he has a better team this year. |

Oh, and in typical "unable to close" Bruceketball fashion, they lead by 8 at 4:12 and score three points to close and lose by 10. But he mows his own lawn. |

Fun game for 36 mins. Then Bruce had to Bruce. We were taking an anvil to the ass and Bruce just sat there with his lizard tongue watching the game. Wake up, asshole! Your team needed some help with a timeout.
Oh well, love this team, still hate Brucey |
Perfect KSU game:
1. KSU heartbreaking Choke/Loss to a Kansas-related coach - check 2. Game close enough for most Carhart/KSU fans to feel like champs and more importantly close enough for Currie and the clueless fan base to think they've gotta a heck of a coach in Brouche. - check The only thing that didn't happen that would have made it better was if some 250 pound player had run over squeaky during his 38 minutes of standing on the court, trying desperately to make the game all about him. Still too early in the year to throw his players under the bus though. That doesn't usually start until conference play and when his job starts looking like it might be in jeopardy. Gotta say, his pathetic, insecure crybaby look is a perfect fit for the program/school though. Congrats on a few more years of Weber!! Match made in heaven. ROFL |
Weber is one of the very best X&O coaches in college basketball, especially offensive sets. Just my .02. Always thought that.

But Gene Keady said he was great so.....by all means. ROFL |
Recruiting will always be an issue for him. But coaching def isn't

I need some ideas from you grapes.
This year at work I drew a good friend in our company's secret santa deal. He is a big KStater. Alcohol tends to be a common underlying theme to these gifts. The budget is $20-$25. Ideas? |

Cats 68
Dawgs 66 Dean Wade hits a clutch short corner jumper to win the game. I like this team a lot. |
Good game. Was listening to it while at a girls HS BB game.
After giving GA the game last season at OOD, it was nice to beat an average team on the road. |

Are you feeling better? I remember how you were looking forward to the big football game. Especially after being so hurt about the band. |
Won 3 straight to end the year. Finish 6-6 and get a minor bowl. Not a bad finish.
|
Proud of this team. They made chicken salad out of chicken shit.
|
They did things no sec team could do.

Cre Moore was playing out of his mind today. I was like "Damn, he came to play. Massive upgrade over Will Davis." |
Congratulations to HCBS for getting inducted to the CFB Hall of Fame, which is happening tonight.

Haven't watched much Bruceketball this year. Catching the WVU game, looks like typical Bruceketball. Ill prepared and lacking talent
|
Well, they didn't lose there. give Bruce credit
|
Bruce gonna Bruce
|
Bruce gets the big win to be "townie hero". I believe the guy sucks as a coach and is as Teflon as they come, able to con the powertards into thinking
"progress is being made", "we are young and (just) lack experience" However the real truth lies in Bruce's record: Bruce:3-20 on the road in the XII. Asbury: 5-41 Wooly: 8-40 Frank: 21-20 Bruce does protect the home court pretty well: (25-6) ****ing guy. He ****ed up the best player on the team and ran him off. He's failed to recruit a viable big that can protect the rim. **** that guy. |
Fire up the DVD burner....
|
Thanks lil bro - long live Brouche!!!! He's a good look for ya.
|
KSU is 39th in Pomeroy. Frank Martin's 20-3 SC squad is 45th. Big 12 is a tough league.

Kenpom doesn't get you into the tournament. Wins get you in. 3-20. |
So as Bruce continues to absolutely kill the program, he lost his 4th conference home game this season. Frank never lost more than three.
He did manage to beat TCU on the road to improve his Wooly-esque road record. |

I was worried Bruth was gonna knock off KU again to get that contract extension. whew.

Jamari Traylor would prob be their best player

Pretty fun to watch all the KSU folks agonizing for a week before the game about how, not if, they were going to storm the court after their win only to be kicked in the teeth once again with a futile loss, embarrassing themselves nationally once again with their F You chants, yet still ensuring themselves a few more years of Brouche. Just great stuff!

More importantly, I'm thrilled we had the ball in Wade's hands at the end of a 1 point game. Solid work by Bruce there. Edwards and Wes were creating points all night, Wade has been struggling. So by all means, run a pick and pop with your two freshmen. |
There's no excuse for them to lose to KU
|
Is there a chance in hell Our AD nuts up and does what he should have done 4 years ago?
|
Is Weber now the worst basketball coach in the B12?
|
**** you Currie

I don't know if you were at the Texas Tech game, but THAT was horribly officiated. The PI calls at the end of that game were brutal. It was almost as if the Refs had Tech and were trying to cover the spread. |

And really, that ball was 20+ feet in the air, I highly doubt that receiver would have caught it one way or another. |
Coach is gonna get win number 200 against KU, seems fitting. Think he'll let them score 200 to commemorate it?

Played well today. They need to finish this.

How is K State fans liking Ertz? I think you guys may know my connection to him...Our grandparents were married for like 15-20 years. He and his sisters were my "step-cousins." His grandma still has my last name...since the divorce, we still refer to her as "Grandma" when she is brought up. It's crazy watching what he has done...small-town Southeast Iowan....MEDIAPOLIS!

Needs to work on his passing game and footwork. Can't hold onto the ball forever. KSU lost some big yardage due to that. I'm aware he hasn't played since his SR year in HS (close to 3 years I believe, due to 2 injuries and a RS year) so I'll give him a slight pass on that. Still need to get aggressive on his passes sometimes. If he can improve his passing skills to at least close to Collin Klein, this offense will be more dangerous. Lastly, he will definitely need to hit the weight room and put on some serious muscle mass on him. I cringe whenever he runs, fully aware he might get lit up by someone who's 2 times bigger than him. |
