Totally different mix this year. These guys play hard, smart and unselfish. Goes a long way to competing every night.

Game turned when a charge was called a block (ref underneath right next to play called charge, ref toward half court overruled him and called charge) and then they didn't call offensive goal tending. Four points handed to UNC when KState was making their run. Frustrating. Overall game was called pretty well, but those two swung things a bit.

I'll give Bruce credit, he risked turning over the roster, and he has a better team this year.

Dude, my post wasn't in defense of Bruce, good lord. The simple fact is that the team we had last year played stupid and didn't play hard all the time. It may very well have been 100% Bruce's fault, I wasn't there. I wanted the guy fired in the off-season. But watching last year's team vs. this year's team....for whatever reason, we play smarter and more unselfish.

Fun game for 36 mins. Then Bruce had to Bruce. We were taking an anvil to the ass and Bruce just sat there with his lizard tongue watching the game. Wake up, asshole! Your team needed some help with a timeout.

Perfect KSU game:

1. KSU heartbreaking Choke/Loss to a Kansas-related coach - check

2. Game close enough for most Carhart/KSU fans to feel like champs and more importantly close enough for Currie and the clueless fan base to think they've gotta a heck of a coach in Brouche. - check

The only thing that didn't happen that would have made it better was if some 250 pound player had run over squeaky during his 38 minutes of standing on the court, trying desperately to make the game all about him.

Still too early in the year to throw his players under the bus though. That doesn't usually start until conference play and when his job starts looking like it might be in jeopardy.

Gotta say, his pathetic, insecure crybaby look is a perfect fit for the program/school though.

Beautiful day at the Stadium yesterday. Bright sunshine and a Longhorn ass-kicking.

And some fans getting their ass glowing red from out the bright sunshine. Luckily I brought my hoodie. Was hot, but didn't get burnt, thankfully. We got in the shade by 1:30, so that helped a lot.

I'm so glad I moved from Section 18 to Section 1.

Yeah, I sit on the West Side, so we were pounded with sunshine in the first half, but it was perfect by the 3rd qtr. Matter of fact, I slipped my pullover back on by the the end of the game. Probably a 20 degree difference from the Sun to the Shade

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about. From the first half, I was miserable but I soldiered on. By the mid 3rd Q, the shade was covering me and felt wonderful that I was finally able to take off my hoodie and just relax.

Well, minus the relaxing part since my blood pressure just went up 10 times at the officials on their bullshit tactics.

I don't know if you were at the Texas Tech game, but THAT was horribly officiated. The PI calls at the end of that game were brutal. It was almost as if the Refs had Tech and were trying to cover the spread.

It wasn't THAT bad compared to TT, I agree with you, but I felt like that one PI on Shelly was bullshit at best. Maybe defensive holding, but PI? No way.

And really, that ball was 20+ feet in the air, I highly doubt that receiver would have caught it one way or another.

How is K State fans liking Ertz? I think you guys may know my connection to him...Our grandparents were married for like 15-20 years. He and his sisters were my "step-cousins." His grandma still has my last name...since the divorce, we still refer to her as "Grandma" when she is brought up. It's crazy watching what he has done...small-town Southeast Iowan....MEDIAPOLIS!

He's okay. Definitely better than Bazooka Joe. Can run. Loved the stiff arm he put on a KU player.

Needs to work on his passing game and footwork. Can't hold onto the ball forever. KSU lost some big yardage due to that. I'm aware he hasn't played since his SR year in HS (close to 3 years I believe, due to 2 injuries and a RS year) so I'll give him a slight pass on that. Still need to get aggressive on his passes sometimes.

If he can improve his passing skills to at least close to Collin Klein, this offense will be more dangerous.

Lastly, he will definitely need to hit the weight room and put on some serious muscle mass on him. I cringe whenever he runs, fully aware he might get lit up by someone who's 2 times bigger than him.
