Kennedy actually pitched a hell of a game for once only to have Mauer and Grim **** it all up

We struckout 16 times and walked only twice. That is such an ugly stat.

The mistake that they made was bringing him up in 15 so now everyone's expectations are that he SHOULD be Trout or Harper at this point.

1st pick. |
That's baseball right there. Hammel gets squeezed on a third strike that would have finished the inning, and it leads to the Astros blowing it up into a big inning.
|
Check that, a really big inning. Burned by the short porch in left.
|
that's so royal.

The race for first(pick).

Was at the game today. Should've went to one of the others.

Today didn't surprise me. Also Alex got called out to end the game on a pitch that was a half foot outside. Bad teams get bad calls.

We are currently about 4.5 games ahead of the pace of the 1962 Mets (that is not much of a gap when the bottom will probably fall out when players like Moose & Esky are traded in the next 5-6 weeks).

Ok I get some push back when I say Dayton Moore hasn't been a good GM for a long time and people give me the "Trust him" narrative...
So why is he not trusted here? **** Dayton Moore is a religious freak who isn't ok with porn so if he's willing to sign this guy I'd say we should probably feel ok with it. I think Dayton Moore has done a lot of stupid shit but he seems to value character more than most GM's. |

Well thanks I think...

Honestly, I just don't want the franchise branded as a "pedo friendly" one. That's what'll happen and I'm just not interested in that
Then people quitting on the team. Blah Don't sign him. I prefer being thought of as a team of choir boys who go to church and happen to have a ring from 2015. Non of this potential pedo sh*t |

Ya I don't want the pedo on my team who seems to have no remorse and his brother doesn't talk to him either over this. The guy can try to have a job but not in MLB imo...that should be a privilege and kids look up to players. Even if he had remorse I'd rather another team sign him
|

Well, maybe he was "born that way"?
|
Remember when we used to talk basesball? Now, how will our boys blow this 1-0 lead heading into the 8th?
|
Moore needs to be fired. Not only has he ****ed up the rebuild this idiot goes on a porn crusade talking about keeping families together so moms can bring their kids to the ballpark. Great idea expose them to a kiddie didler.
|
Royals add one in the 8th. 2-0 now.
|
Salvy has been pretty bad at the plate this year.

Herrera's done a real nice job. Keller with a great start today too.

And, perhaps just to play devils advocate, what if he was guilty to some degree? I'm not sure they should sign him in that case, but one big knock on the American criminal justice system is that it punishes people instead of rehabilitating them. Perhaps his crime (if he's guilty) is too heinous, but I would think it's possible that giving someone a chance to be a productive member of society is a better option that casting them out for life and leaving them with no other options. |
I think he could cum in and be a clubhouse hit. 'Have A Royal Babysit Your Kids' night could be pretty awesome!

I don't have strong feelings about him either way, but if it's me, no ****ing way I plead guilty to that shit unless I did it.

There’s a reason wealthy people/corporations settle out of court all the time...even when they’re in the right. It’s a lot easier and cheaper. I could definitely see where a 15 year old wouldn’t have the foresight to see this sticking with him forever if pleading is the advice he’s getting. |

I really just don't understand what people want, dude does everything he asked to do by a court. Is no longer a registered sex offender, is not prohibited from being around kids, nothing no restriction.
Whether you believe him or not, he maintains innocence through the whole thing, through all therapy and everything. And I get the whole then why did he plead guilty thing...well you know when you're 15 and your family is telling you to do something and they likely aren't rolling in the cash...and a lawyer tells you that..what are you gonna do? He's not an adult that understands all this shit at the time... Everyone needs to take a big dose if relaxation on this one, this isn't some serial child molester, this a case with a lot of doubt around it. The first allegation of this comes from the childs mom who from reading around the net appears to be a total whack job. |
Quote:
And also, its not like kids are going to look him up and say "Wow, he molested a kid! I'm going to do that too now!". So the whole kids up to him doesn't mean anything there either. Posted via Mobile Device |
I see Herrera is eligible as a SS in yahoo fantasy. Did he come to us from the Reds playing infield? If so, is there potential there or do we assume his defense would be a liability in the infield? Seems to me, if we could get that kind of offensive production at the shortstop position it might be worth trying out

Woman charged, accused of breaking into home of Royals pitcher Danny Duffy KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - Court documents show a woman broke into Kansas City Royals star Danny Duffy's home last Saturday. Tabytha C. Yeary has been charged with second-degree burglary in connection. Documents state that Duffy was away and got a notification from a Ring surveillance system. Duffy watched the video feed as an unknown woman walked around inside his home. When police arrived, they found the woman walking down the stairs in Duffy's clothing. The woman told police she thought his home was an Airbnb. Records also state she later told police her fiance was Elon Musk, but "it was not the same Elon Musk that we have seen." Police discovered a Playstation 4 controller inside the woman's purse. https://i.imgur.com/A6JgqcG.jpg |
Question: Shouldn't we be hearing more about international free agency? The signing period starts next Monday, and we are finally out of the penalty phase for going over our signing limit. So, I'd think we'd try be competitive with the IFA signings. But I've read nothing about any prospects being connected to the Royals.

I was curious how Kyle Zimmer's brother was doing, so I did a Google search for Bradley Zimmer. After reading about him being awful this year and demoted (suck it Cleveland), I noticed the section for "People also search for". Kyle Zimmer was listed. It appeared to show his family relationship to Bradley.
Relationship title? Sister |
Don't have a good feeling about tonight. Junis has been so home run prone and facing this Brewers lineup in this ballpark doesn't seem like a good combo. I guess it helps that Shaw and Cain are out though.

Well that took three batters to be right.

PERALTA PITCHING FOR MIL KC MIL Mondesi struck out swinging. Escobar struck out swinging. Gordon struck out swinging. Good inning, guys. |
Junis has now given up 3 bombs. It's bottom 5. Jesus Christ.
|
This pitcher for the Brewers definitely looks like a young phenom. They have a brutally deep lineup and some real cyborg type pitchers in the bullpen. If they could trade for one more really good starter they probably have a shot to go all the way.
