And now he's saying that he pleaded guilty to avoid an expensive trial and stress on his family and that he is in fact innocent. I honestly don't know what's true. My point is IF, and it's a big IF, the Royals do their due diligence and after a thorough investigation determine that he's innocent, then I'd be willing to trust that he is in fact innocent. If not, then by all means don't sign him. I really don't know what the truth is here, and I doubt anyone else does either. But I'll trust a multi-million dollar franchise to have the power to hire investigators and get to the bottom of things.

And, perhaps just to play devils advocate, what if he was guilty to some degree? I'm not sure they should sign him in that case, but one big knock on the American criminal justice system is that it punishes people instead of rehabilitating them. Perhaps his crime (if he's guilty) is too heinous, but I would think it's possible that giving someone a chance to be a productive member of society is a better option that casting them out for life and leaving them with no other options.

I think he could cum in and be a clubhouse hit. 'Have A Royal Babysit Your Kids' night could be pretty awesome!

This is a fair point. I would then amend my original statement to also include I would have a long heart to heart with my 15 year old son. I see Herrera is eligible as a SS in yahoo fantasy. Did he come to us from the Reds playing infield? If so, is there potential there or do we assume his defense would be a liability in the infield? Woman charged, accused of breaking into home of Royals pitcher Danny Duffy

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Court documents show a woman broke into Kansas City Royals star Danny Duffy's home last Saturday.

Tabytha C. Yeary has been charged with second-degree burglary in connection.

Documents state that Duffy was away and got a notification from a Ring surveillance system.

Duffy watched the video feed as an unknown woman walked around inside his home.

When police arrived, they found the woman walking down the stairs in Duffy's clothing. The woman told police she thought his home was an Airbnb.

Records also state she later told police her fiance was Elon Musk, but "it was not the same Elon Musk that we have seen."

Police discovered a Playstation 4 controller inside the woman's purse.
