They paid all that money to Poole and he has been meh at best

You are conflating different arguments. Steph's titles are fraudulent due to Durant and the various injuries to his opponents. That has nothing to do with him being the primary driver of the success of the Warriors teams (except, of course, when Durant was there).

Warriors do play team basketball and it seems like Curry doesn't have to be the STAR on the team. Unlike some other player you always mention.
What the hell are you talking about? Curry is the star of the Warriors and one of the greatest offensive players in history. They wouldn't even be a playoff team without him.

He guards much worse than even Curry and seems to wilt on the road offensively.

Easy to dominate when the Kings aren't even properly guarding him on screens. What is Sabonis doing on these sets defensively?

KC_Connection 04-26-2023 09:08 PM

Is Monk gonna get a flagrant for running through an illegal moving screen by Curry? LMAO

I haven't watched him much prior to this season and he is pretty weak defensively.

Anyway going to crash so hopefully GS doesn't though I know you want them too :)

He's pretty weak at everything really. He needs foul calls on the offensive end that the refs just aren't giving him in the playoffs.

Haven't seen any reason to think the Kings will take this game so far. It will probably take a Fox takeover to do it.

He's pretty weak across the board. Of course, Len is much, much worse. :(

SAC's bench just kind of stinks. Mitchell may be a great defender, but he can't make a freaking basket. Trey Lyles may actually be reruned.

Draymond learned something coming off the bench. Better score if you want to be on the floor, win this game, and get a contract next year.

No idea what Curry, Thompson and Green being homegrown has to do with the Kings choking out with a 2/23 from three over the final 3 quarters of the game.

Anyone that expects to be taken seriously when they go with "BUT THEY TRAVELED!!!!" is pissing into the wind.

It's someone that went into the game not wanting to like it so they chose not to.

If you watched the games last night saying "BuT tHeY tRaVeLeD!!!" then you're right - the game ain't for you. Go watch Indiana brick open 12 footers and play high school caliber 'hustle to the spot but close out late because you were lost and you're slow' defense. You'll be much happier.

Dribbling the ball is literally the most basic rule of basketball. Without dribbling, the game of basketball would have died before it left the YMCA.

Players and officials cannot just decide a rule isn't a rule because they want to break it, or use it to manipulate the score.

How do you not see that? It literally strips away the integrity of the sport. If it's a one possession game, and one team inbounds the ball, and the player picks up the ball and walks 4 steps before he starts to dribble, and it's not called, it's shady AF and it makes every call the official made during the game suspicious and shady AF by association, which means it's possible that the players didn't actually decide the outcome of the game.

At that point it becomes entertainment with predetermined outcomes like professional wrestling, and not an actual sporting event.

Again, I use the example of football. Semantics aside, we all know that to make a legal catch, the ball can't hit the ground first. It's one of the most basic rules of football, and the basis for the forward pass. The players and refs can't just decide to call passes caught on one hop a legal catch because they want to.

Love this response from Giannis. Definitely a good way to put sports into perspective. He’s so hard not to root for. Respect to Jimmy Buckets too, though.

Grizz looked good last night. Hopefully Luke’s injury isn’t too serious and we can go take the game back in LA Friday.

dirk digler 04-27-2023 06:08 AM

When I went to bed last night the Bucks were only up a few in the 3rd and I thought man they could actually lose this game and series. I posted a couple pages back that I felt confidant that they could get to a Game 7 but I was wrong. Props to Jimmie and the Heat. This should finally get Coach Bud fired I would think.

In regards to GS, awesome team win and find it funny that KCC favorite person Barry is whining about missed 3's. I guess he doesn't really watch the NBA as this happens on a regular basis. The Kings set a team record in the 1st quarter with 9 then went cold. Shit happens all the time and vice versa. Seen Curry and Klay go for 2-15\20 individually several times. I remember that Game 7 vs Houston and the Rockets missed like 40 3's in the blowout loss. 3 point shooting is so streaky.

But the refs kept the Kings in the game even with Draymond getting blatantly hit in the head on a layup.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Prior to the late Steph and 1, the Kings had 0 fouls in the 4th quarter.<br><br>A team has recorded 0 fouls in a 4th quarter just THREE times in the last NINE YEARS in the postseason. <a href="https://t.co/yAwFz7lGA0">https://t.co/yAwFz7lGA0</a></p>&mdash; WarriorsMuse (@WarriorsMuse) <a href="https://twitter.com/WarriorsMuse/status/1651455762810671104?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 27, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

If anything is a failure, it's a championship favorite losing to an 8th seed in the first round in 5 games.

Giannis had little to do with that (he can't help the fact that he got hurt), but that's a failure for the Bucks.

They could have had both, if I'm recalling correctly. It was effectively a choice of signing Harris to a long term deal versus letting Butler go.

The 2019 76ers were Embiid, Butler, Simmons (when he was still good and gave a shit), Harris, and Redick.

Neither team interests me. I kind of liked the Sixers when they were rebuilding through "the process", but I've lost interest now. Butler is fun, but I really wanted to see the Bucks move on.

So, it's the Nuggests and Kings for me at this point.

Listened to Skip/Shannon this morning and didn’t realize how bad Lebron is shooting 3’s. 1-9 last night and I think they said 3-29 over the last 3 games. Dillion Brooks is slightly worse

Never understood why Lebron refuses to back down more like MJ did when he was getting older.

Refuses to back down? Are you not watching these games? LeBron barely has the energy to run the floor at all (especially last night). He certainly isn't going to be able to engage in posting up players right now.

He's probably playing hurt on that foot but he's legitimately fatigued playing in this series in a way he's really never been before.
