Even with OBJ and Wylie this line is sooooo much better than the patchwork line from that SB. With this line that game is entirely different.

All depends on how Brown Jr handles Reddick and co. If he can keep Mahomes relatively clean I'm fairly confident we'll win. If not it's a lot more of a toss up. Also if Trey Smith is 100% or if that ankle still gives him issues will be a huge difference maker as well

Chiefs are gonna lose. Philly is the better team. It sucks to say but it’s true.

Reddick is playing at a crazy level. I expect a blowout as I don't think Travis and Mahomes will be enough. Then again I am a birds fan but they have the full roster available and if Hurts is recovered they will roll. Their roster is better now than at the start of the season. Anyway, I will come back and eat crow if they lose.

I get your point of view, but KC was 14-3 for a reason. What area will the Eagles exploit to give your blowout win? What area is Philly significantly better than KC?

“In 2 playoff games, Jalen Hurts has been blitzed 16 times. His off target % on those plays was 20%. When blitzed, Hurts has not completed a pass on the right side outside the numbers. Zero %.

When blitzed by 5 or more rushers, Hurts was 8/15 for 34 yards. Yards per pass attempt was 2.7 yards.”

Holy shit. Spags might kill this man

The Eagles might have a better overall roster, but it's not nearly as significant as the narratives surrounding the matchup suggest, and the Chiefs have a far better QB, HC, and staff.

If anybody is getting blown out though, it ain't the Chiefs.

I am not objective so I put that up front but here is what I think:
D-line, deep and good
Secondary, bradberry is pretty good to excellent, I do worry about slay
Oline, Eagles are solid.
WR, eagles by a mile, I include the TE which the Cheifs have a better one but don't discount Goedart. AJ Brown and Devante are beasts.
RB, who knows but the birds have been solid there.

Granted I don't know a ton about KC as I have only watched a few games that were broadcasted out here but the loss of tyreek seems huge. To me QB is where KC has the advantage but overall the eagles have a super solid team. Jalen if healthy is really good just like PM.

KCs offense was better this year without Tyreek than it was last year with him. Don’t sleep on the KC secondary as it had a great game against the Bengals. The Eagles have a better OLine than Cincinnati but Burrow and Co are better than Hurts/Brown/Smith. Reid and Mahomes will field the best offense the Eagles have seen all year. Mahomes has been blown out like three times in his career. This isn’t the TB Super Bowl.

A lot of talking heads had the giants winning that game. Eagles for whatever it matters have given up 14 points to get to the bowl. Never mind how many they scored in those games.

Battle tested, we will see what that means.

The Giants played above their talent level all season. It caught up to them playing a division rival for the third time. The Niners had no QB so one would hope your defense didn’t give up a lot of points. The 14 points surrendered is smoke and mirrors.

There should be two GDT. One for reasonable fans and another for those who can do nothing but complain endlessly every time the opposing team gains a yard.

I guess it’s one of those defense mechanisms. Go on and on about how they will lose. If they win you can celebrate and admit you were wrong and not care. If they lose you can stick your chest out and say “I told you so”.

You made some arguable points here.

Right up until you decided to compare Goedart to Kelce. I know you're an iggles fan, but let's not be dumb. He's not a pimple on Kelce's ass. Travis Kelce is the greatest pass-catching TE in NFL history, and second only to Jerry Rice in receiving TDs in the playoffs.

And I mean, we can really skip all the stats. Just going by stats, Kelce is better than Goedert by such a huge margin, well, they're not even in the same zip code.

Kelce does things on the field that Goedart can't even imagine, much less attempt. Which is great for us, because your vaunted defense is pretty soft vs. TEs in general; like ranked 20 something vs. TEs just this season. What happens to them vs. Kelce will be epic.

And you better hope that Hurts is healthy, because if that shoulder is still bothering him tomorrow, forget about it. It won't even be that close.

I am more confident in Brown Jr and Wylie who’s been a RT for a couple of years now against this defense than FREAKING Remmers at LT and Wylie who was a RT for two weeks in practice against the Bucs defense.

It has already been shown that the majority of their sacks were against lesser talented teams. Plus it’s not like this team has no familiarity with teams with good pass rushes. The LAC have Bosa and Mack and the Raiders have Jones and Crosby. KC swept both teams.

When the Eagles faced top tier offenses they gave up a ton of points. This team has one of the best offensive minds of all time calling plays and one of the most talented QBs of all time hitting his prime.

So my point stands that comparing this game to the SB against the Bucs is beyond ridiculous. Not sure if this is a purposeful thing by you or not. If it is please explain the logic behind it because it’s stupid. If you are this doom and gloom all the time you can always throw on an Eagles hat and buy yourself a Hurts jersey.

Rainbarrel 02-11-2023 07:47 PM

OBJ/Wiley are still part of #1 offense. Who actually faced far more than wet paper bags

It makes no sense to me. This team has been to more SBs in the last four years than in their entire history prior to it. They have hosted five straight AFCCGs which is an AFC and team record. Yet still some would rather doubt and complain than enjoy the ride. They just can’t be happy and enjoy the ride.

Except the Fisher loss was more critical than you think. Losing him meant Remmers who was decent as a RT was moved to LT which was a terrible mismatch. Since he moved over, Wylie had to move to RT which he was sorely unprepared for. Then a backup had to take Wylie’s spot at RG.

Fisher was no Roaf, but he was good enough to hold his own as evidenced by the game earlier that year. He stays there, Remmers at RT, and Wylie at RG and that line would have been significantly better and Mahomes would not have run for almost 500 yards.

Rainbarrel 02-11-2023 08:06 PM

I copied it this time

Out of the 100 simulated games, Madden simulated the Chiefs winning 57 games, leaving the Eagles to win 43. Right off the bat, the Chiefs already have a higher chance to win, and a lot has to do with Patrick Mahomes. The most notable prediction for the Chiefs' QB is that he will throw for at least one touchdown pass and have at least 200 passing yards. The only outlier was game number 13 where Mahomes only threw for 196 yards, but three touchdowns.

Crazy that Austin Reiter was probably the best starter on the starting line in that game. Maybe Allegretti.

I just think some people are just negative about everything. Perhaps it’s a defense mechanism against disappointment. Or perhaps it’s a way to hedge against either outcome. Personally I would prefer saying and thinking the Chiefs will win and if they don’t then I am disappointed vs the other option to say “I was right and told you so”.

I am getting nervous now, I was pretty cool until yesterday.

Toney has a future as a slasher villain if he ever wants to take up acting. There's always something just a bit unnerving about that stare of his.

Why are there two 8s and 14s?

Rainbarrel 02-11-2023 08:25 PM

19 hour drive to Phoenix. You can just make it

No doubt Travis is better Goedert is probably #3 in in that position in the league, he did miss some games with injury so stats are what they are. He is a big part of the eagles offense but by no means the offense. They have really good talent at all the skill positions so don't have to rely on Goedert as the primary weapon.

Can the cheif take away Goedert, AJ, Devanta and the running backs. The eagles mainly need to take away Travis.

I love how him, Saunders, and the Shark are absolutely mean mugging the **** out of the universe in this.

I’m a huge Goedert fan, but nah. He’s just a mid TE. Maybe the top of that mid tier. It’s Killa Trav and everyone else. The gap is enormous.

D-line, deep and good

Oline, Eagles are solid.
WR, eagles by a mile, I include the TE which the Cheifs have a better one but don't discount Goedart. AJ Brown and Devante are beasts.
RB, who knows but the birds have been solid there.

Granted I don't know a ton about KC as I have only watched a few games that were broadcasted out here but the loss of tyreek seems huge. To me QB is where KC has the advantage but overall the eagles have a super solid team. Jalen if healthy is really good just like PM.

I’ve been mostly quiet with you Philly fans, but shit22….. I just can’t with you.

Bitch, Hurts has done absolutely NOTHING to be compared to
The greatest quarterback on the planet. He’s been a good story. But it’s midnight Cinderella! Your roster isn’t better than the Chiefs. The BIGGEST disparity being quarterback. Look bitch, Hurts has accomplished nothing, he got one ****ing sympathy MVP vote. In his entire career. Mahomes is a 2 time MVP. A SB MVP, and an ELITE QUARTERBACK. Hurts is poor man’s Lamar. Let us know when your boy beats an actual NFL Quarterback, or wins an award. Until that point shit22, your breath smells like shot, cuz you’re talking out your ass. You have 2 number 1 receivers, and have the same record as us with according to you, a bad WR room. Do you remember what Sharts I mean Hurts looked like last year? It was embarrassing watching how they even had to snap the ball last year.

Make sure you come back and bend the ****ing knee when you’re in the presence of the kings court next time you mouth breathing moron. Your team isn’t winning tomorrow, they actually don’t have a ****ing chance. But you’ve seen enough shitty football this season to declare your team a better team than the core that’s been to 3 of the last 4 SBs??? Eat **** pie, queer!

Yep, just like we were against the Bridesmaids! Probably shouldn’t even watch. **** that, I’m watching this team destroy those fraudulent Beagles, and hoisting yet another Lombardi. The Beagles fans tears will
Go so good in my margarita!!

You know what? The longer this week has gone on the more optimistic I've been feeling. I don't care what the talking heads have been saying. The Chiefs are going to win and it's going to be a beautiful day tomorow. Let's kick some ass!! :thumb:
