Chiefs need a long methodical TD drive to start the 2nd half.

Okay that was better than nothing after all that. Hate leaving points on the board though. The Ravens can’t win this game within their regular offense. Go get a TD after half. They will likely stop us from scoring at least twice. So figure 10 points on two other possessions will be enough, especially if a TD is right after half time to go up three scores.

KC_Connection 01-28-2024 03:35 PM

We'd would be up 24-7 if not for the refs and Andy's decision to not take the point. Keep doing what we're doing and the Ravens won't be able to go back to the run.

The fact that there were two back to back to get them out of FG range after not one all game.

Rain Man 01-28-2024 03:36 PM

Okay, nice first half there. We should be up by 21 other than Trey being framed for crimes he didn't commit, but we're up by 10 and everyone is playing well. The other team can't play from behind.

Good half. Just what we want against Lamar, make him play uphill. Need to come out with a great drive to get 7 and really put them down. If we don't I'm betting the Ravens are going to try to come out smashmouth in that 3rd quarter.

Today I'm glad we have already experienced a second half letdown in the AFC Championship game. Test this like we're tied and come out firing. Take no prisoners in the second half. Same intensity and desire on both sides of the ball. Do that and we'll be in the super bowl again.

Rain Man 01-28-2024 03:37 PM

I got distracted by the fake flag, but have to comment on the beauty of that touchdown by Rice. That was a gorgeous play.

21-7 for sure. You don't know how the game plays out differently if Reid kicks a FG earlier. Maybe Baltimore gets aggressive and goes for it on 4th down.

It's a shame the Rice playcall was wiped out by the penalty. But whatever. At least we got 3. Could have been worse and the drive started on the 10 yard line.

If you win the game, nobody will care about those plays. If you lose, that's a different story.

The Ravens need more to happen to win this game than the Chiefs do.

Bullshit calls, but we’re fine.

Got at least a FG and basically ended the half on offense.

Now time to double dip and force Lamar to play from down big.

I’m fine with it. The club is playing smart and very passionate. That series of bullshit flags ignited one of the biggest firebrands on the line. And they still scored lol

RINGLEADER 01-28-2024 03:38 PM

Ravens have gotten all the breaks so far:

- Two almost sacks and a busted coverage for their lone TD drive
- Lamar catching his own pass and taking the INT away from Reid
- Not converting on 4th and short in the red zone

That said getting that score at the end of the half is enormous. Going down and getting 7 at the start of the second half will be critical. I believe they'll do it.

RINGLEADER 01-28-2024 03:38 PM

You have to actually hold to be called for a hold. He at no point held onto the defender and kept him from moving. That's not a he's at all.

On the second one, I can see where an inexperienced high school ref might think that looked like a hold, even though it wasn't. The first call was entirely fictional.

Two holds out of nowhere called to prevent us from taking a two touchdown lead after no penalties called on us all half. But some say game steering doesn't happen in this league.

tredadda 01-28-2024 03:39 PM

KC is in a good spot. Up 10 with the ball to start the second half. If not for hero ball by Jackson, the defense would be pitching a shutout. If I am a Ravens fan I am nervous, especially because KC’s defense tends to be better in the second half.

Curious on adjustments. Reid’s playcalling has been largely transcendent. Not sure what weakness there is to exploit.
