I knew Wainwright was struggling but I hadn't seen him pitch. Dude looks completely cooked. I mean completely. Can't locate, can't get swings and misses, everything's hard hit. 8.78 ERA. Atrocious.

We're paying him almost 18 million dollars for this

The pitch he threw that Bobby hit out has no business being seen in a major league game. Anyone with arms would've hit that to the moon.

Otherwise, a guy who plays GG-caliber defense at 3B and is a productive offensive player who can run and hit at the top of a lineup is probably a 3-4 win type of guy. Sure, he might hit for less power than you’d typically see at 3B, but KC is also going to have more power at SS than average.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Witt’s defense has improved so much with strong defenders on both sides of him in Garcia and Massey, either.

Long-term, the Royals best outcome is if Garcia continues to be a viable hitter and so does Massey. Even if Pratto doesn’t stick at 1B, an IF of Garcia, Witt, Massey, and Pasquantino offers something to dream on.

You are just so stupid it's unbelievable. You're not wasting his talent. He's a GG caliber 3B, but you don't know for sure that'd translate to him playing at BWJ's level at SS.

Do you think Jeff Passan is stupid? He presented the argument the other day and it made some sense.

Tooled up prospect was once No. 15 on the 2021 Baseball Prospectus' top 100 list. His stock has fallen due to off field issues that kept him out due to Visa problems, but he's still only 22. His OPS was .839 this year after not playing in an official game from 2020-22.

He would be the Royals' top prospect if the organization got him.
