Even more than Daryl, Jesus confused me to join that little mutiny squad. Literally his only contribution to the show in season 8 was to get everyone to stop killing others (Maggie, Morgan). Now he is so upset about Rick not killing Negan, he's going to pull a 180 and demand Negan is taken out?

I have no problem with any of them wanting Negan dead, but it sounds like they are prepared to go to war with Rick and Michonne over it as opposed to walking up to his new cage and shooting him in the head.

I think the Maggie/Jesus/Daryl scene was Negan dreaming.

If you notice, it was an abrubt cut directly from that to Negan waking up.

There's no way they take the show in that direction. What little credibility the showrunner's have left would be completely gone, as it would be completely out of line with the characters for multiple seasons. Especially Jesus - as he's preached the exact opposite consistently throughout his existence on the show.

Maybe Daryl and Maggie - but that's still a stretch. They are all family.....and have all saved each others' lives multiple times.

If they truly go in that direction, it may signal the end for me.

They really need a new direction. Introduce new conflict (not just who the next group of people we have to have war with).

Hmm, interesting theory. Only part that gives me doubt is, does Negan even know who Jesus is? I'd guess if it was Negan's dream, the 3rd person would be Ezekiel.

Vedy vedy interdasting theory....

But to your point, Negan may have seen Jesus but never heard Jesus speak, hence only Maggie and Daryl had speaking lines in that scene.

I don't think it was a dream. Which is too bad, because if was ****ing stupid. Jesus grinning menacingly and nodding in agreement with Maggie? 15 minutes before that he was telling Morgan you can stop people without killing them. Daryl? I can see him disagreeing and wanting Negan dead, but not enough to conspire against Rick & Michonne in any way. It's his fault Glenn died anyway.

That was my first thought as well. Go end dude in his hospital bed and tell everyone he didn't survive having his throat slit, then laying in the grass bleeding out while Rick made his crybaby speech, then undergoing post-apocalyptic medical care by a non-doctor in a non sanitized room in a non-hospital with non-medical equipment and no electricity.

Can’t say I blame Maggie for wanting Negan dead but it is Ricks stupidity ( or the story writers) that got them in the Negan mess...
A bullet to the head wouldn’t do any less for ratings for next year..

dlphg9 04-16-2018 07:19 PM

So none of those 3 went to Rick and tried to talk him into killing Negan? What a stupid ass forced drama ending.

Sure-Oz 04-16-2018 09:37 PM

Not sure i like this Civil War shit with Maggie and Rick now. I get Maggie being pissed but Darryl just let Dwight go and is Rick's guy...also Jesus would be against this war. Definitely an interesting twist...I'll stay on board but they're all supposed to be a family. I want the Whisperers or some big ass threat now.

Wonder if we see more Dwight? I also thought Maggie would be more level headed than this to fight her own especially when Darryl's dumbass got Glenn killed.

Sure-Oz 04-16-2018 10:03 PM

So that herd would be walkers and Whisperers...damn I want this to be true.

I watched a guy almost die on the ice, but was saved by having world class physicians at his side, from the same thing.

I kinda viewed that as something akin to Rick finally getting the bloodlust out of his system, once that was done he was freed up to follow Carls advice... as far as slicing Negans throat just right without killing him, well we've swallowed other unbeliveable things might as well choke that one down too

Count me with those who dont think it was a dream, but it seems pretty clear to me that Jesus is going to be a mole in their camp, letting Rick know whats up... nothing the writers have shown us about him makes sense that he would suddenly turn wanton killer

He is gonna be a rat

Darryl is harder to tell IMO, him and Rick have had their differences lately, but then again he let Dwight go... so something tells me Maggie chose the wrong two guys to confide in

I gotta admit, the producers/writers surely knew they needed something big to keep the train rolling and bring up their sagging ratings... and this was a pretty good idea to add a new element IMO, I'll be forced to tune in again to see how it plays out... suckered once again lol
