Great Win! Looked pretty dismal after that first half. KU turned up the D second half and went into attack mode on offense. Self must have had a good halftime speech, unless he asked the “Mothers” to come in and give their sons a tongue lashing. :-)

Eh. I mean if you're down 13 I guess you can point to a thing here or there. But there was a ton of unfortunate stuff. Guys colliding on rebounding resulting in a 3. Baylor hitting logo 3s with hands in their face. Wilson missing open layups. It didn't take much to think if they just cooled down a little bit we would make a run and we did. A pretty satisfying half, though it's funny a top 10 matchup down 13 win by 17 is only the third best second half fans on this board have seen in the last 365 days.

Wow! This team is so tough...mentally. which is to be expected when you still have reigning national champs on your roster. That 2nd half was a beat down of epic proportions. And Id like to thank Keyonte George for his volume shooting and horrible defense. Perfect example of a guy who will be a good pro but isnt helping his team a whole lot. Flagler and Cryer need to be taking like half of his garbage shots. My guy Pettiford looked good too!

Was very confusing today that the committee had KU ranked below Houston in the seed list.

To be fair they deserve some credit in their collapse. They did literally nothing they they did to build the lead after half. They absolutely shit the bed. We played well and rubbed their face in it, but it’s not like we were absorbing haymakers from them.

Baylor faced just a little bit of adversity in that game and stopped wanting to fight at all. It was a complete capitulation. Which is another reason it is so funny Drew is bitching about the refs after that sorry 2nd half from his team (as if Jalen Wilson right hand drives had anything to do with it). He will never change.

Yeah, I agree about their shooting. If you look back in this very thread you will see a post by me that mentions guys who have been hot in the first half and then cooled down in the second half.

But you could see in the first half guys not attacking the basket, not going to the glass for rebounds, etc.
That being said, I think Self did make some defensive adjustments, even at the end of the first half. They stopped switching on the big man. For the most part, they went back to the hedging style and that seemed to make a big difference. Harris also seemed to try to stick with Flagler as much as he could.

I really like how Self isn’t married to either Yesufu or Pettiford. He just seems to roll with the hot hand.
