It's what they're looking at until they draft a DB or two that they really like, at least.

All they've really done is replace Peters will Fuller, which isn't an upgrade on the field.

They've replaced Mitchel with Amerson...whether or not that's an upgrade is debateable.

And replaced Parker with Sorenson.

Considering they were what, the 29th ranked pass defense last season? There isn't much reason to believe they've gotten any better and you could certainly argue they've gotten worse.

They have a lot of work to do in that position group. They did before trading Peters.

They aren’t going to talk about what they’re going to do with a player that’s not here. Since we’re clearly going to be relying on the draft to build our defense, I wouldn’t put much stock in who they say is starting in March.

Add Berry back in.

Yep. Maybe if Reid would've swallowed his loyalty and pride and fired Sutton I'd be a bit more forgiving, but he didn't and I'm not. Now we're going to be running the same sort ass scheme with the same soft ass players and maybe a rookie or two? **** off.

Good ****ing god. Let’s put this in elementary terms for you morons, again.

Sorenson, Murray, Zombo, Gaines, Mitchell, old and broken DJ, old and broken Tamba, Nacho, Revis and Nelson. We relied on these players for over half the season. Not one of these players is starting caliber. That’s not counting Parker who ****ing sucked last year.

And yet this defense still was only 15th in the NFL in points allowed, including allowing no more than 21 points at home all year except for a Marriotta fluke TD pass.

How in the **** can ANYBODY think that this isn’t a goddamn miracle coaching job with the pile of filth given to this defensive staff?

Who could they have signed this far that you guys would have loved on defense?

Beef Supreme 03-15-2018 02:33 PM

I don't know how anyone can be anything other than excited for this season. They aren't done filling holes on the defense, and the offense is set to go thermonuclear. I don't expect them to be able to fill every hole this year, and there may be some growing pains. But it'll be fun as hell to watch. And I think they are going to surprise the critics. And next year's cap situation is better.

Suh, Richardson, Wilkerson

We probably add 2 DL in the draft and you know there will be another UFDA who makes the team. Then stash another 2-3 on the practice squad.

Adding speed to this defense is going to make a huge difference. We have a lot of talent on d, and you're not going to have the 11 best guys at their position in the league on your defense. Have to have a lot of good role players and spot fill in type guys to win anymore.

Was hoping for that Talib trade.

Mecca 03-15-2018 02:34 PM

You could go grab Dominique Easley for like a quarter, talent is there.

Having Hitchens and Ragland on the field together will help vs the run

Bleh.

Maybe Suh, but he's gonna break the bank.

And to this point Richardson and Wilkerson have been a poor man's Albert Haynesworth.

Yea, but that’s hope.

Who knows if that was even possible with it being the Broncos.
