Still cannot believe Brannen Greene played so much down the stretch, he provides no ball handling, no defense. he cannot guard Cousins, Hield, or Woodard. Glad it worked out. I get that Mason was fouled out, but was Svi hurt? Much better ball handler and better defender than Greene. Greene played horrible today, just horrible. Kudos to Landen, another solid game. Diallo played terribad, yet he seemed to play more in the first half than he does when he's playing well?

I think self thought we needed his outside presence. And he did hit buckets.

His presence kept the defense spaced out, allowing a lot more dribble penetration.

It was really all about the spacing he provided for others (and he doesn't even have to hit shots to provide that), but yeah, I agree...he shouldn't have been out there for the defensive possessions down the stretch. The guy's a woeful defender. He finally took him out at the very end when Traylor got the rebound.

Yep, OU has to respect his shooting ability.

I don't think Svi does great in high pressure environments. He's timid as **** and gets jumpy. Maybe that's why he wasn't in?

Bill used part of Hoiberg's style, 4 & 1. Expect to see more of this the rest of the year, especially with Ellis in there. Spread the floor, all can hit the three or put it on the floor and drive.

Norman, Okla. — Chicago Bulls basketball coach Fred Hoiberg spent some time in Kansas University coach Bill Self’s office on Friday in Lawrence.
“We talked about everything. I was picking his brain,” KU coach Self said after the Jayhawks used Hoiberg’s four-guard Iowa State lineup for several minutes in the Jayhawks’ 76-72 win over Oklahoma, in Noble Center.
Hoiberg, former coach at ISU, was in town with wife, Carol, to visit with Hoiberg’s daughter, Paige, a freshman who works in KU’s basketball office. Hoiberg has some free time over NBA All-Star weekend.
“He always plays four around one,” Self said of Hoiberg. “He said, ‘Man, that could be good for you guys.’ I said, ‘We may end up doing it tomorrow.’ We didn’t do it much. I thought it was good for us the little bit we did it,” Self added.
Of KU’s four-guard lineup, sophomore guard Devonté Graham said: “It’s tough on teams. We have four shooters out there: Me, Frank (Mason III, 14 points), Wayne (Selden, Jr., six points) and Brannen Greene (nine points). You’ve got to play us as shooters. It gets open lanes. We were driving it.”
Of KU’s four-guard lineup being different than Iowa State’s under Hoiberg, Self said: “They move Georges (Niang) around so much. We can’t play that way, because we don’t post our guards. We did that a couple games ago, spread it, drive it.”
