As long as things stay private, seems like the Chiefs have an issue with that,,,With every Tom, Dick, and Harry saying they know but are sworn to secrecy tells me the NFL is going to be addressing this soon. Because the Ram's posting one way reservations for plane flights from KC to LA on their Twitter account is just pushing the lines a little further south of where they are suppose to be.

Hopefully the Chiefs don't set records again.

Wouldn't it be hilarious to have him negate the trades and "MAKE" KC keep both Smith and Peters...

Bet it's a 2018 R3 and a 2019 R2.

Very odd, indeed.

I think we are going to sign the other fuller brother to replace MP.

Wellll part of this is on the NFL. The day or week after the Super Bowl teams should be allowed to trade players and make deals. Why wait? Teams and even fans want to move on to next year.

I was thinking that was a factor as well...

FYI for those who havent read the whole thread, The Rams dont have a 2nd rounder in 2018. The Chiefs would get a 3rd rounder in compensation if Peters would sign somewhere else without a deal or direct compensation from another team.

I dont see any ****ing way we trade Peters for a high round draft picks in 2019. We do nothing we get a 3rd rounder in 2018. We have to get something with a better value than a 3rd this year. Or why even make the trade?

Right now I’m sticking to the 2018 3rd and 5th + 2019 2nd rumors.

Exactly, and that might be part of the hold up. I don't think the deal has been finalized.

Yea that’s what I’m thinking.

Hopefully that 2nd can go up to a 1st with conditions.

Messier 02-26-2018 09:29 AM

Wouldn't a leak come from somewhere? His agent?

The rule was established long ago when Carl complained to Tagliabue about not being able to go on vacation for an extended amount of time without worrying about what was going on back at the office

I think a 3+5 with a 2019 2nd that will level up to a 1 if the Rams reach the playoffs would be a very acceptable return.

We are already going to get a 3rd just by letting Peters walk. A 5th rounder ain't worth shit.

Instead of trying to work it out one last time and wait until after training camp to release him, you basically trade a top 5 CB before the 2018 season to get a 2nd rounder in 2019?

So there's a crap load of pages and its hard for me to keep up.

How on earth would we not get a 1st rounder a least for a player that we/them would have control over the next 2 years and 3 if you include franchising him.

2 years with one of the best CB's in the game on a rookie contract and that's all we get? If so...fuk that. I'm at a loss for words.

we traded a 5th for Cam Irving. That's what our front office values a 5th haha

Doubtful, KC has done a couple of these handshake agreements. From a team shaping perspective it is highly beneficial to have these agreements in place and nothing to do but pull the trigger on March 14th. If KC backs out on their word, they would be done from working with anyone this way ever again and if they use the Rams deal as negotiating ploy they could be done trading with anyone. They will not back out, let alone negotiate against a deal already in place.
