I think they knew this was coming a long time ago. It perfectly explains the time jump of FTWD to the same timeline so that they could merge both shows post-Rick Grimes.

Old Man Rick isn't that interesting, anyway. Where we are in the storyline, the next segment is a time jump and everyone is older, Negan is living in the basement prison of Rick's house, and everything is flourishing. Rick is back to being a pussy who doesn't kill anyone.

The interesting characters at this point start to be Negan (as he redeems himself) and Carl but OOPS Carl is dead. Great job, assholes.

So I don't know what they **** they're gonna do.

If they are gonna move on then Michonne probably needs to be a leader as Daryl isn't that guy imo. The comics still have alot going on...it all starts and ends with Rick. I'll be curious if they kill him off or something else. Also Maggie isn't likely to be around much longer either.

Basically at this point. Dunai Gurira probably is out next and it will be the Norman Reedus Zombie show. I'm pretty disappointed that this is happening and there won't be a satisfying end. I gotta catch up on the comics now.

Rick and Carl I would've thought would've been there at the end of this. This show is now gonna be the new Arrow.

Can they bring back Laura and Coral so that I can watch them die again?

Rick snuffs out Maggies coup attempt and beheads her ISIS style, but just as he tosses her mangled head into the crowd of stunned onlookers, a horde of walkers sets upon him just as Darryl shows up for 30 seconds to mumble something unintelligble... the end

Its basically a mercy kill at this point, cant wait to see what kind of absolute nonsense season 9 has in store for us

It is a shame they drew everything out as long as they did now that the actors are all leaving. 9 seasons was plenty to get caught up to the comics.
