And if anybody's spot is in jeopardy, its Selden....
He was horrible yesterday.....and his defense on Cousins was criminal...
The only reason OU was in the game was Cousins.....and the refs keeping OU
at the line in the first half.....

Frank played well, but strong troll attempt against KC Connection.

Would have been much stronger if Frank Mason wasn't the 2nd best player on the team by far in yesterday's game. He still has some ways to go to clip that label of his.

Selden seems to lose his focus at times on Defense, especially if he's not a large part of the offense on the other end, IMO. There were two straight possessions I remember yesterday where he looked very slow, very lethargic, not staying with his man. I remember telling my wife he's doing terrible, surely Self can see that, and it was at that time he was substituted for. So either Coach seen what I saw, or it was just time for Selden to have a break?

No one thinks that. Frank played well yesterday. Hopefully that means he's out of his slump. I still would prefer Graham as the number one PG. But Frank isn't losing his starting spot. You're delusional.

Settle an argument my friends are having: better game, Selden vs Kentucky or Graham yesterday?

Graham because he guarded the best player in the country for nearly its entirety (and did it well). Makes doing what he did on offense more impressive.

CoMoChief 02-14-2016 11:24 PM

**** it.

Start Mason, Graham, Selden, Greene, Ellis and run the 4out1in motion offense and dare teams to outscore KU. Spread out the defenders, drive the lanes, get Ellis in the high post area, and out to the top of the key, setting screens, rolling out for mid-jumper or he's isolation to drive to the hoop. Mason isn't a shooter his job is to drive/create and dish out and control the flow of the game.

KU isn't playing any defense anytime soon, but maybe Self's system doesn't mesh well with "this" kind of team. Coming into Kansas everyone was saying these (at the time freshman) are going to shoot teams out of the gym. Well lets see that happen. College basketball is so wide open this season it's going to come down to the hottest team making a hot run. KU should strip Self's normal style of offense and scheme.

^ No.

KU is FINALLY playing good defense. They were ridiculously good against OU. The small lineup worked when we used it, but that's because we used it sparingly.

This is exactly what I was thinking. So yeah, I'd vote for Graham against Heild and OU.

Did a squirrel eat your brain?

KU defended well against OU. And they have been playing much better on defense these past couple of weeks. OU shot 33% FG and 31% from three. The biggest thing keeping them in the game was FT shooting. And many of those were questionable, IMO.
