Earl Thomas a really, really longshot to be a Chief.

Sucks that this will possibly forever remain a "what if".

Don't know, man. That might've been a time bomb given how it's in virtually the same area he broke it at before and it really didn't require anything spectacular to break it again.

Put this on the list right under not running Lynch on the goal line in Super Bowl XLIX .

I tend to believe situations and bad luck cause injuries but perhaps you are right in this case. Doesn't help Thomas at all, but the thought would make me feel better.

I guess I'm trying to think of it as 'we just dodged having two injury prone safeties signed to max deals' kind of thing.

Yep, Chiefs dodging the bullet here but they got nailed with the Berry bullet. :(

Hog's Gone Fishin 09-30-2018 06:39 PM

Obviously safeties are pussies

jaa1025 09-30-2018 06:41 PM

I'm curious if there will be some reports on how close the Chiefs were to trading for him.

TribalElder 09-30-2018 06:44 PM

wonder if we still trade a 7th for him or something

I mean at this point they might as well get something for him

can't they still tag him and be dbags in general about the whole thing

fairladyZ 09-30-2018 06:46 PM

Seattle will still most likely get a 3rd round comp for letting him walk in FA. And they could still franchise him to get the most out of him, would be a dick move after what just happened to but I wouldn't put it past the seahwaks to do it.

Even if we wanted him still Seattle wouldnt take less than a 3rd.
