Tonight was just one of those nights, man.

We probably lost our shot at the #1 seed, though.

Honestly I'm pretty ok with that. This team doesn't need the pressure of being a #1 because I don't think they would handle it very well.

This is who Ku just lost to.

@tcusid

Tonight's attendance of 7,412 for TCU's men's basketball home game vs. Kansas is a Daniel-Meyer Coliseum record

Well, yeah that guy does.

Odd. Because I don't care about Missouri at all this year beyond my (probably misguided) hope that they can beat UK somehow.

We're well aware.

Thanks guy.

We know. Their second highest attendance record was against us too.

Agree...seeding doesn't matter to me as much as winning a 9th consecutive B12 championship.

Not much breathing room at the top now. I originally thought we would be "ok" after Saturday's loss. I was anticipating the next few games before dropping one in Ames. I did not account for this [obviously] and after these last two performances, I do not know how you could be confident going into Oklahoma. I am still not worried about KSU...but I am still expecting a loss in Ames.

The next month is going to be exciting...

Relax.

It's a terrible loss during the regular season. There is nothing good about it. But it isn't like our season is over... We have more games on the schedule ya know...

Yep, better to go through this pathetic bullshit now than in March (although I think a loss in March is becoming much more likely as the games go by).

Yep, me too. The UNI game sucked beyond anything perhaps I've ever watched in sports because of just how good that team was. This loss is rather stunning, but the ramifications of it in terms of the season aren't all that significant. We probably lose a seed or two, though (and if we don't...we really deserve to).

Frogs O' War ‏@FrogsOWar
Rock Chalk hate is coming out of the woodworks. PS, we know we suck, that's why we're freaking out. It's the biggest win in school history.

Silock 02-06-2013 10:58 PM

Horrible loss.

But, we can still win the league. We won't miss the tournament. We still have Bill mothereffing Self. Streaks end, but they also begin again.

Saturday is another game.

Keep Calm and Rock Chalk the **** On, folks.

If KU wins all 5 of their remaining home games (KSU and four bad teams in UT, WVU, TTU, TCU) and pick up a road win along the way, they still likely win the conference outright. There are no guarantees anymore until this team starts giving a damn, though.

RustShack 02-06-2013 10:59 PM

Iowa State should have been in second already, but after this loss we have a shot at winning the conference still! Damn lucky bank 3s from Kansas AND Oklahoma St.

But I feel the pain, we lost to a shitty Tech team this year.

You know you're spoiled as a Kansas fan when it's been 7 years since back to back losses.

Still... this really, really sucks. Self should have these guys back on track soon though. At least I hope.
