Start Mason, Graham, Selden, Greene, Ellis and run the 4out1in motion offense and dare teams to outscore KU. Spread out the defenders, drive the lanes, get Ellis in the high post area, and out to the top of the key, setting screens, rolling out for mid-jumper or he's isolation to drive to the hoop. Mason isn't a shooter his job is to drive/create and dish out and control the flow of the game.

KU isn't playing any defense anytime soon, but maybe Self's system doesn't mesh well with "this" kind of team. Coming into Kansas everyone was saying these (at the time freshman) are going to shoot teams out of the gym. Well lets see that happen. College basketball is so wide open this season it's going to come down to the hottest team making a hot run. KU should strip Self's normal style of offense and scheme.

That would be the worst rebounding team in the history of basketball.

Selden

The Kentucky game meant more.

I bet you're all "hot" for that 12th straight -Regular Season Conference Championship- aren't you?

You're not one of those that thinks that actually means something are you?

For the perception of the program of course it did.

Recruits want to see who's the best and KU had been handed their ass to them the last three times against College Basketball's #1 program.

A loss at home would have been disaster.

Winning the toughest conference in a home and away format is definitely an accomplishment

So you don't want KU to win a 12th straight conference championship?

Put it like this.

For KU in the long term it would have been better to have beat Kentucky this year and lose the regular season conf championship than it would have been to have won the reg season conf and lost to Kentucky.

Graham just helped KU beat the current odds favorite to win the NCAA title in their home building (which also had the effect of completely changing the dynamics of the B12 race), but nothing will ever top our Super Bowl.

I think KU and Self have proven themselves against the competition in this conference.
