When was the last time we had an offseason like we had this year to fill us with speculation and hope?

It has been just a little over a year since the board first split, and last year was an election year, this year is not. It is kind of assanine to be judging track records on such a short, and unique time period.

Nor do I want to be on every issue. See I am one that fits both sides and am on debates on both sides. I will honestly miss the forum when it is gone, and believe me once it is off the front page in any form it will be gone. I kind of find it strange that all this occured after the conservative block failed to get DEnise banned. I sort of feel this is all about their inability to ignore seeing her name when it appears on the front page of the lounge. Even if it is those brief glimpses when she is the most recent poster in the DC forum.

One thing I can promise is that what you will see is more crossover threads, threads which are not political but used to go over there because we could generate discussion and respect the football mainly nature of the lounge. I know I will be putting my religion, homosexual marriage, and other such non-political threads back on the front page after the link is gone. Those threads are not banned from the front page as Endelt pointed out earlier, only political threads are banned from the front page.

You're kidding me, right?

If it were possible, I'd suggest you take a gander at the archives of this board. You will witness every name imaginable being consistently and regularly spewed by "so called" conservatives toward those who disagreed with their specific points of view.

You will also notice that those who were targeted by those personal insults rarely fought back. Oh sure, there were times where the insults got to be a little much and the frustration showed but, all in all, the personal abuse seemed to be consistently espoused by one side.

If there were ever a vindictive or spite filled group it surely isn't coming from the left. Even you know that. I know that you know that. So no matter what you say, that doesn't change and you know it.

Exactly that is not a political thread and should not be moved from the Lounge by the rules as they are now being explained.

Probably true. I'll give you that. I'll admit that I am looking toward tomorrow's game with much anticipation.

Even so, this new trend has been apparent for more nearly a month or more.

Not by the rules, this is not a political thread therefore it should not be moved to DC, according to Brian (Endo) only political threads must be moved.

Oh BS Jamie, pretty much all the conservatives abandon DC simultaneously leaving only a token few of charachter like Duck Dog, Iowanian, and ainorth that have the guts to stick around. That is not 30 some people simultaneously getting a life.

I feel the need to address this as I have been one of the most vocal members in regards to banning Denise. I do not know if you throw me into the catagory that you described or not, but let me assure you, 99.9% of the time I go out of my way to avoid her.

I decided in the last couple of weeks that when I made it back to the board that I was going to avoid the DC forum because that is where she spends most of her time. It is not because I am incapable of ignoring her (most of the time), but because it is inevitable that I will run into her. She, simply put, lessens my enjoyment of this place. And since the majority do not see her as the cancer that I do, I will simply avoid her main residence. So the turn out of the vote is why I am not returning, but my participation in that forum had become minimal anyway, because as previously stated, I can only take so much of it before it starts wearing on me.

I can not speak for the few of us who do want her gone, only myslef, and in speaking for myself I can honestly say that even if she had been banned, my involvement in that forum was not going to be anywhere what it had been when it was first formed. Politics is a passion of mine, but pure, unadalturated politics, all of teh time is too much for even me.

You guys want to kill the forum fine, but you will not if I can help it become the Star BB of the past. It appears the point of this effort is to silence a portion of the members and get them out of sight (and I do not mean me) but I will do everything within the rules to make sure that does not happen. I will use the search function to prove my points, I will show the contradictions being used, I will use the rules to my advantage. Don't expect me to just roll over because some babies want to see the DC forum and DEnise/jAZ/jettio dissappear from their peaceful little existence.

No that was not intended for you, in fact you stuck around long after that issue was decided to make your case so I would have no reason to believe you purely want to avoid DEnise, frankly I know you of all people know this will kill the DC forum and even if you don't want to participate anymore I am suprised you are supporting it's death.

Well hell, Jim, of course people are going to love you when you go to their side. Their is a difference between forgiving someone because it is the right thing to do, and forgiving someone simply because they now agree with you.

You've seen teh hatred from the left with your own eyes on this board, so filled with hatred they are that they will straight up lie about the definition of "unilateral". It is pure hatred that drives them to do such things. No more, no less.

You can tell me I am wrong about this until you are blue in the face, it won't make you any more right.

I was merely giving an example of how life can be off and on. I attribute this situation mostly to football season, as well as to people giving up on :banghead: of irrationale thought all the time. But mostly I attribute it to football season.
