The Jets are learning a painful lesson of what not to do in the playoffs. "Playing it safe" will lose the game 99.9% of the time.

Even I think Sanchez is going to be a good QB. But people are talking like he's winning them the game, time to chill out. And he's had a solid game, but their running game, and especially their defense are what has them up front.

They have basically played a very Herm-esque game, they just have the personnel to do it. They're out there running wildcat in 3rd down situations.

They are Marty Balling it but Sanchez isn't shitting himself when plays are needed. Which for a rookie isn't too bad.

Huge defensive series for the Bengals.

I (obviously) disagree. You won't know but you can see the potential there (mechanics, accuracy, decision making, leadership).

Which is why I was okay taking him in the 20s. That's the range (in my mind) for a crazy gamble on an unproven quarterback. Not the top 5. You don't draft projects that high, you draft the highest percentage at a sure thing you can find. I mean, hell, junior quarterbacks in general are a massive risk in the draft, much less one that hasn't played very much.

Anyway, I understand your opinion and respect it, just explaining my own. Like I said, I'm not anti-Sanchez, I just think think it's generally wiser to be more...traditional where draft picks are concerned, particularly with a high pick.

So I hadn't been watching the game at all. As soon as I turn it on Bengals TD.

They have me to thank.

And the dagger

That's some Chiefs tackling there, looking like TEs against us.

tk13 01-09-2010 06:06 PM

Great call. They've called that little bootleg at perfect times.

cdcox 01-09-2010 06:06 PM

Bengals secondary obviously flunked geometry.

milkman 01-09-2010 06:06 PM

If Keller has any speed that would have been a TD.

Pioli Zombie 01-09-2010 06:06 PM

Sanchez will get credit for 43 yards for throwing a 4 yard dink.

In general, I agree.

QBs, however, ar an entirely different animal.
