Believe it or not, I have more questions about Reid than Alex Smith. Smith is an above average QB with good coaching.

Andy Reid? I'm not sure what he is anymore. Is he the guy from 2004 or the guy from 2012?

True.

I have teh same question about Alex Smith. Is he the pre Harbaugh guy or the last 2 years?

Although unlike others here, I see him as an obvious vet stopgap for the next 2 years til they find their guy. So we will find out soon enough.

Alex Smith has been on an upward trajectory.

Andy Reid has been on a downward trajectory.

Hopefully, they both settle above the middle.

I see him as our guy going forward and a possible NFL MVP in the next couple of years.

I bet Alex Smiff doesn't play a full 16 game season with out being hurt and missing some games. I'd bet minimum he misses 3 games due to injury.

Reid's been the definition of mediocre for years. 7 straight seasons of 6-10 to 10-6. Well, okay I'm being a little flexible there, they did win 11 once. 7 straight sounds better than 6 out of 7.

Either way, it's like a double shit sundae.

Alex Smith is a mediocre game manager that Harbaugh utilized in an offense to maximize his efficiency.

He's a more talented QB than Matt Cassel in the same way that Keanu Reeves is a more talented actor than the guy who used to live in OJ Simpson's guest house.

Better than bad does not equal good.

Or, suck is suck, level of suck is irrelevant.
