"I've never thought of myself as a playmaker. I think of myself as a facilitator." - Geno Smith (paraphrased)

That is true to a point. I think there is a decent definition of it that gets distorted by all the idiots that go extreme trying to make a point, thus loosing it. To me I think of a cool-aid drinker that prefers moves to help win short term so they can have a happy Sunday
vs thinking longterm. I'm not saying short term is always wrong, but its how they always think.

I don't think there are very many of that kind of fan (around here at least). And one of the most frequent uses of the term occurs when someone suggests that it wouldn't be such a horrible thing to draft an offensive tackle which is pretty clearly a long term play.

I think each individual might be able to come up with a coherent meaning for the way they think the term should be used, but since there is so little agreement about that meaning, the term is essentially meaningless.

I tailgate with a bunch of guys that have been going to the games since the early 1980s. I've been there since 1989. Two of the guys I tailgate with played college ball, and one now coaches at a small college. As a group, we are all excited as shit to see the team moving in a positive direction with a FO that seems to know how to improve the team. Do we all want a franchise QB? You bet. To a man, not one guy thinks anyone is worth 1.1 though.

It'll be alot of fun being a fan of the Chiefs over the next couple of years as they build this franchise back up to a winner.

Good luck with all that winning stuff. The tailgating should still be fine though.

What about worth 1.4?

I'm just ready for everyone's sorry ass excuse when Geno is taken in the top 5.

1.1 was meant for tackles, and tackles only.

What do u mean back Into a winner? When has this franchise been winners? The only thing that will happen if we don't get a young promising qb is failure. We may get a play off spot but this team won't seriously contend year in and year out til they decide they need to get with the program and do it the right way.

Yup he's not 1-1 but he's 1-2 or 1-3. I wan Geno or any qb taken first to light it up so the real fans can possibly take off their blinders.

Folks can continue to put their money down on the horse with the busted knee. That's their right to do so. I'll abstain.

Not one guy is worth the number one pick - but you have the number one pick, so what the hell are you going to do with it? The number one pick is worth exactly what the best player in the draft is worth to the team. So obviously SOMEONE is worth the number one pick.

Right. The Jags sent an army to Geno's proday and the Eagles owner went to watch him so he must be good enough to consider for 1.2 and 1.4, but in no way 1.1, because he's we've got Alex "200 yards 1 td 0 picks lose 24-14" Smith.
