Goddamnit this is not how I wanted to start the Mahomes era. Reggie Ragland and Chris Jones are the only real young proven high impact guys we'd have on defense if MP22 is traded.

It's not ideal but if they feel like he's going to continue to be a major headache, keeping him around will only prolong the problems. Also, he'd just walk in FA as opposed to getting any compensation in return.

**** Peters. You can never win with these guys. I’ve seen it as a player, coach, and have observed it too often.
The franchise cannot afford to babysit this malcontent any longer. He has made it clear he does not want to play in Kansas City, and his outbursts along with his uninspired play tells everybody he wants out. In the short term he might find some success elsewhere, but he will always revert to being selfish and play the victim as he always does. Players like these destroy locker rooms and tear apart team cohesion. If I am the Chiefs, I dump him this off-season for whatever I can get as you want a solid locker room bringing in a new face of the franchise.
Keeping Peters here when he doesn’t want to be here will just be a negative distraction and turmoil for the foreseeable future.

People are trying to make this about the flag toss or the self-ejection. If that was all that happened he'd never have been suspended. It's a pattern of behavior of losing his cool mixed with questionable effort.

It needed to happen and the optimist in me hopes that somehow this gets through to Peters and the rest of the team, that no one is above discipline.

I don’t think they will get much for him, nobody wants a headache. The proof is in the draft when he dropped. Wasn’t Ballard who went to Oakland and investigated him? Maybe Indy will give a conditional 7th for him.

Mark Davis will channel his dad and offer a 1st.

Teams will still offer a lot simply because of the impact he has on games and he plays a premium position. I'd be shocked if the Chiefs couldn't get at least an early 2nd for him.

I take that and run...

I think I would too. People will have a hard time grasping it because of all the INTs, but it's to the point where you either trade him or make him the highest paid corner in a year. Personally, I have no comfort in the idea of paying him right now.

Pasta Little Brioni 12-06-2017 11:15 PM

He's not getting cut ROFL Nothing of the sort is in the works. Cut to allow him to sign with Oakland ROFL

thegame214 12-06-2017 11:21 PM

Yep, let's cut him and get the next KeiVarae Russell baby!

In all honesty I think we ship him in the offseason.

So Smith continually not throwing to a wide open Kelce equates to Kelce quitting on the team? WTF? :spock:

If the Chiefs decide to trade Peters, it’ll be for a Mid-to-High 2nd round pick to an NFC team.

No chance they trade to the AFC, unless it’s Cleveland.

Cowboys. Jerry thinks they can control all head cases.

Kelce is a “Me First” player.

He appears to be a guy that thinks his “Real Life” will begin after football.

We'd get a 3rd rd comp if we let him walk at that point.

Veach has got to be the real deal. We desperately need to hit on some picks bc Dorsey didn't draft as well as we though. Ford, Peters, Russell. **** man.

I'm hoping Tanoh is the gem that breaks through.
