Bingo. Smart play call. The spy faked a rush and was ready to sniff him out. Our O line overreacted to a 3 man rush

ROFL our o line totally shut down that 3 man rush. Smith thought Fisher was beat when he wasn't, took off. Got tackled

Still, Alex shouldn't have to save this Franchise's every suck by playing the perfect game.

He was very good in the first half. Only had 4 drives in the second half.. and pissed away 1 or two of them on bad choices.

Every QB should be allowed a few non-turnover bad choices per game.

This day, a day where the run game was minimal... the officiating and dropped passes were costing us points.. tKC needed Alex to be flawless.

He wasn't.

Plenty of blame to go around yesterday. Not gonna dispute that.

We needed him to get a couple first downs on the opportunities he had.

Struggled with it all November with Kelce.

Everyone knows its time to move on from Smith. The replacement is in place. This is why you trade picks to move up and take a QB in the 1st rd. Theres no point in hanging onto Smith for a just in case everything breaks our way one last hurrah. There will be no one last hurrah with this team. This team has too many deficiencies aside from Smith to do anything relevant. All that would do is stunt Mahomes growth with Andy reaching for Smith the first time Mahomes struggles. A back and forth QB carrossel just prolongs the inevitable. The Chiefs just need to go all in with Mahomes with the understanding this is a new team and build it the right way.

Kelce out didn't hurt much with 2 minutes to go in the 1st half. Why didn't the play calling kill us then?

They didn't need him to be perfect. They needed him to make big plays at the end of the game and he wasn't able to get it done. For better or worse, Mahomes would have done something very different on that 3rd and 9 play at the end. He would have kept the play alive. Throw a pick? Maybe. Convert the first down? Maybe.

His teammates failed as well, that's obvious. Defense struggled in the second half. OL and receivers struggled. The refs screwed them hardcore on the Mariota "non-fumble" and special teams blew a field goal. That's 6 points right there between the Titans field goal (right after "non-fumble") and Chiefs missed field goal.

They gave up on the season when they traded up to get Mahomes. I'm not sure if those picks would have been major contributors like Peters was Day 1 but you'll never know, the league seems wide open this year and the defense could use help plugging some holes. Regardless of what-ifs, the window for that core of players is for sure closed. There's no point in keeping guys like Smith, Hali or Derek Johnson around and trying to squeeze out production in hopes that "this is the year."

SO THROW THE ****ING BALL AND GIVE SOMEONE A CHANCE.

You don't get wide open receivers every play. Sometimes you have to trust a receiver to make a play.

To who? Reek was likely double teamed. Kelce wasn't out there. Orson Charles had dropped a crucial pass. We don't have the all-22 film so we don't know.

Cause Reid couldn't mess it up. Hurry-up tempo and letting Smith run the 2 minute offense. We've seen the stats, this team thrives on aggression.

Unfortunately, Reid plays to lose.

When we get a lead Smith loses whatever little aggression he had.

He watched the rush and panicked

We were playing from behind at that point. So not sure what you are getting at

Mahomes threw a strike to Incompletrius Harris 30+ yards down the seam last week on that 3rd-and-10. He was covered well.

Sometimes you've gotta just give a guy a chance.

Reid is the Alex Smith of coaches. Both of them can get the flying **** out.

He needed to keep the play alive by rolling to the right instead of going up the middle/left into the heart of the Titans front 7. If you keep the play alive, who knows what might happen either through Alex running or possibly finding someone downfield.

#97 the lineman played it perfectly. He sidestepped left to present an open lane and waited for Smith to take the bait. Great play call and execution.
