But i'll throw you a bone. Here's all you need to know. Everyone around here is taking one metric and completely disregarding everything else to make a point. That says all you need to know about the situation.

No, it’s more layered than that.

1) eye test. Penalties aside - which also have decreased, Jawaan Taylor has stood up to power and speed on the edge and is a massive upgrade from Wylie. Smith has been largely unnoticed and is successful in different ways than Brown. He can handle an outside speed rush and do something more than just ride a guy up the arc, which opens a lot of the offense up, especially for ad lib stuff.

2) general disdain for PFF anything other than its mock draft simulator, PFF is knocked around here even by the nerdiest of stat needs.

Chiefs fan just watched Smith and Taylor have their way with a pair of DEs who can win with speed and power and move combos. After watching the Brown/Wylie combo struggle mightily with them the past two years.

Your attempts to say those two are, in fact, bad is going to need more than PFF data to get traction.

That part is where you entered the fail zone.

EDIT: I might have joined you. I've been talking about Bengals vs Chiefs.

Our tackles were really, really good against the Chargers. If the argument is that Bosa/Mack aren't very good, then maybe our tackles aren't that good. Otherwise, I'm not sure how one can watch that performance and not think the Chiefs are in pretty good hands at the tackle spots.

The only metric I give two shits about when it comes to o-lineman is my eyes. Anyone with a functioning brain can see how much better Smith and Taylor are in pass protection. I don't even really care about an occasional penalty, because we're good enough to overcome them without an issue.

Bottom line is we're paying $4 million for Smith to be a drastically better pass blocker than the fat tub of shit that's currently manning your LT spot for 4x the price.

Smith and Taylor are clearly better than Brown and Jonah Williams, or whatever mound of suckage is playing RT for Cinci.

I was laying awake last night having trouble falling asleep and it dawned on me that I haven't really keyed in on the tackles since week 2/3 ish. Last year I was so hung up on watching Brown Jr and how Mahomes reacted to his play that I rarely was ever actually watching the receivers down the field. Even with Taylor's early bull shit targeting this group has been very solid.

I guess you just...missed(?) the part where i complimented your IOL a few posts back? And your QB for his ability to avoid sacks?

Great, you should also have complimented KC's tackles for being clearly better than Cincy's.

I give Rfaulk credit. He hasn't Jeff Fishered yet.

I didn't think Fisher was terrible. The "league circles" schtick made me laugh.

I meant dissapearing before his team fully flushed. Rfaulk has been here for the ride. Lets see if he bails now as they start to circle the bowl.
