I have the 7th overall rookie pick in the first round, and I am interested in listening to trade offers for it. I would move back into the later part of the first or would consider players, or maybe a package of veteran picks, although we're getting kind of late...

Ready for this question?

Can we trade our position in the "Remainder Draft" as part of a deal to sweeten a trade offer? I draft 6th overall ... anyone, anyone?

How about that 7th overall and your R15 pick, for my R16 and a R18?

I really don't know. Just want to see if someone wants to make a run at one of the top tackles, Curry, Crabtree, Sanchez, someone like that. Just kind of gauging interest.

I don't have to move it as there are a couple guys that I like there, but I'm open to moving it.

Interesting, I have no idea what type of value that pick has, but #6 in 19 is nice... hmmm. :D

Wanna move out of R14 into R15?

Old Dog 06-22-2009 12:32 PM

I could easily move out of 14 into 15, but it would take more than a remainder round pick. It would actually take something real sweet to move me away from this pick if my guy is there.
There's a young CB that I really like (almost can't believe he's still on the board).

***Trade Alert***

"The commissioner of this incredibly whacky draft has just been alerted of a trade... it appears that nothing is sacred for the owner of the Memphis Malt Liquor. It's my opinion that the children of Mile High Mania need to ensure that they cannot have their rights traded away for draft picks...

The Memphis Malt Liquor have traded the second of their R18 draft picks and their #6 position in the "Remainder Round" draft to the San Antonio Scorpions.

(pause for an obscenity laced tirade from Pestilence)

In return, the Memphis Malt Liquor receive the Scorpions R16 Draft pick and the #19 pick in the "Remainder Round". Thank you."

Trade Recap:
MML trades R18 Pick 10 (the 2nd of the 3 selections, original pick belonging to Tucson) and Remainder #6
Scorpions trades R16 Pick 6 and Remainder #19

<<<>>>

21 picks remaining in 20 rounds:
R14: 0
R15: 0
R16: 2 picks (mine & Scorpions)
R17: 0
R18: 2 picks (mine & FW Dancers)<o></o>
R19: 1 pick<o></o>
R20: 1 pick
R21-24: one pick each = 4 picks
R25: 3 picks (mine, Steamers & Tucson)
R26-33: one pick each = 8 picks

Kyle DeLexus 06-22-2009 01:27 PM

Wow a 5 round difference? The remainder round is essentially a roster filling pick and most players with marginal value will be off that roster.

It's an offer......I know he's not going to take it.

And a roster filling pick isn't worthless. You can get a lot of up and coming players with that pick.

The Franchise 06-22-2009 01:30 PM

There....I made it a better offer.

Old Dog 06-22-2009 01:30 PM

I was laughing @ that one too Kyle (though I don't know if Pestilence was serious). That would be something if MHM moved down 13 picks in the remainder to gain 2 in the vet and then paid 5 in the vet to move up 10 in the remainder.....of course in this draft, who knows?

Thats true, thats why I was pretty upset with where I was placed in it. I just wouldn't make a trade strictly for petter position in that round. It is a great thing to throw on the end of a trade to get someone to go for it.

Yeah this draft is kind of crazy, there is no set value for picks and different people put different value on each. Once you get to the rookie draft everyone pretty much knows what the picks are worth. Since there are so few teams it will be interesting to see how some value picks in the 3rd-5th round range though.

I'll ponder it, but Brandon is kind of a local celebrity here in Bradenton. He's already doing ads for car dealerships.

You said the same thing about DeMarcus Ware before you shipped his ass away for a drunk and 2 LBs.

Do you want to move down a spot and act like you moved up to #1?

Mile High Mania 06-22-2009 01:42 PM

I didn't mind falling from #6 to #19 in the remainder to move up 34 spots (if I counted right) from the middle of R18 to R16.

In regards to the other offers... I think I'm going to keep my R16 picks at this point. I still have the two in R18.

I could trade a R18 (the last pick) for a R21 maybe and then flip remainder spots.

As it turned out, she was having a diabetic episode, so he summoned his Mebane-powers and spewed insulin onto her from his own pancreas. Saved her life.

I had made an offer to Chiefs=Good for this pick, but have withdrawn the offer (I made a mistake on my spreadsheet).

The Franchise 06-22-2009 03:12 PM

Chiefs=Good is asleep right now. I was PMing him back and forth and he told me it was like 1am where he was. I'm sure he'll be on here towards the end of his 12 hours.

So the reason you couldn't believe he was on the board was because he wasn't still on the board?

:cuss: Damn you, man! I'm trying to maintain a lead on you in regards to the # of trades... you got a much better improvement between traded picks than I did. Different rounds (18 to 16, compared to 23 to 19)... but, it's cool.

doomy3 06-22-2009 03:18 PM

I have the number 3 overall pick in the remainder round draft if anyone wants to move up that high...

Maybe Tom Brady was drafted before he had his spreadsheet set up.

Speaking of the father to be, he could possibly be had for the right price for those teams that don't have a QB yet.

EDIT: He won't be leaving KC until draft day though.

That's a very good question. I would consider trade offers for veteran picks or rookie picks.

Been there. I drafted a guy that was taken already. Turns would when I was searching for his name, I was spelling it wrong. Last time I'll draft players when I've been drinking. Woulda been funny if I had drafted one of the DUI players though.

darosa88 06-22-2009 06:55 PM

I'm looking to trade into rounds 14-16.

Willing to part with:

Antoine Bethea
Rocky Bernard
Bernard Berrian
vet picks
swap remainder round picks
all rookie picks except my 1st rounder

and open to all suggestions for other players.

He's fine, but he's no Brandon Mebane.

I'd like to move back into this round or next or pick up first or second round rookie picks...

I have the #3 pick in the remainder draft, as well as having the #7 overall pick in the rookie draft we can work with...

Mile High Mania 06-23-2009 07:23 AM

Ok, Stallions has back to back picks and the 12 hour time limit is about 13 minutes from expiring on the first pick. So, technically his 2nd pick receives a fresh 12 hour timer.

Stallions has until 8:37 pm to make both of his picks and then we move to Scorpions.

I'll PM him again.

Got it... and while I think it's insane to think Punter right now, it's your pick.

The Franchise 06-23-2009 09:11 AM

I got a PM from the Stallions last night at 11pm about a trade offer. I'm not sure when he'll be back on. Hopefully it's not too late.

I'm ready for my next pick. If everyone else's clock expires, I'll be drafting in early July.

Yeah, I'm wondering if I'll get to my R16 picks before the July 4 weekend.
