The sport certainly doesn't need that. |
Can we start Dover now? Or do we have to wait until Sunday?

I was mainly referencing more excitement in Nascar. Yes, someone could have gotten hurt and it was completely stupid, but I found it rather funny and entertaining. The sport has gone pc/dumb down the past few years. Things seem to be changing lately. And as fans, it's for the better. |

Kyle Busch is 26 years old.
Busch has 21 Cup Wins, 104 Top Tens, 7 Poles Kevin Harvict is 35 years old. Harvict has 16 Cup Wins, 156 Top Tens, 5 Poles The only people that care about Harvick is you and Delana! LMAO Kevin better concentrate on winning a few more races before he gets too old for the sport |
Come on now... There is no reason to get all pissy.
Afterall, NASCAR was built on feuds... what else are we gonna talk about if not the feud of the week -- Have fun with it... |

Harvick, Busch put on probation, fined $25,000
Penalty stemmed from incident that took place on pit road after race at Darlington By Official Release May 10, 2011 1:21 PM, EDT DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- NASCAR has penalized Sprint Cup Series drivers Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick as a result of rules infractions committed at last weekend's event at Darlington Raceway. Busch, driver of the No. 18 car, and Harvick, driver of the No. 29 car, have each been fined $25,000 and placed on NASCAR probation for the next four Sprint Cup Series championship points events until June 15 for violating Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing -- involved in an altercation on pit road after the conclusion of the race). "These penalties are a result of what occurred on pit road after the race was over," said Kerry Tharp, senior director for communications, competition. "They are about maintaining a safe environment on pit road." Who crossed the line more: Busch or Harvick? Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch were involved in some sheet metal-bending scraps in the closing laps, and after the checkered flag in Saturday night's Showtime Southern 500 at Darlington. In their aftermath, it's been questioned who "crossed the line," and to what degree. The field was involved in two restarts in the final nine laps of the race, which went into three laps of overtime thanks to a caution that involved Busch, Harvick and Harvick's Richard Childress Racing teammate Clint Bowyer with only two scheduled laps remaining. Harvick initiated most of the initial, multiple contacts between he and Busch, but everything that occurred up to that final caution could be termed totally acceptable "hard racing." It was what caused the actions that got both Busch and Harvick called to the NASCAR hauler after the race that "crossed the line." The final legitimate contact, between Busch on the outside and Harvick in the middle, caused Harvick to wreck his teammate Bowyer, who was inside him in a sketchy three-wide formation. Harvick was minding his own business as he moved to the inside of the frontstretch before, just after the start/finish line Busch crossed behind Harvick and hooked the back of his car, causing Harvick to slide toward the outside wall. Harvick didn't cross the imaginary line until he began playing cat-and-mouse with Busch at the pit entrance, which was childish and bullying at best; and inflammatory at worst. The fact his actions were incited by inappropriate racing, of which he took no part, is no excuse. NASCAR.COM Thank you! |

In other words you're saying (Let me try to put it in terms even a woman driver would understand):
If car A (#18) rear-ends B (#29) who rear-ends C (#33) then the insurance of car A will be liable for the damages. Why? Because A (#18) IS AT FAULT If that doesn't work I'm not addressing this topic again. There's no plainer way to explain it. |

I asked because you bolded "caused Harvick to wreck his teammate Bowyer" and I thought you were saying that Harvick was at fault. What you bolded itself says that contact from Busch CAUSED..... And it's clear that Kyle hooked him and then wouldn't stay around for the confrontation (helmet or no) and pushed an unpiloted car which is clearly an assinine move and could have caused someone serious injury (though he didn't seem to care). Glad to know you're now seeing it clearly, even if it took four days for your vision to unblur. |

F1 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen makes his NASCAR debut in Charlotte next week. Raikkonen signed with Kyle Busch Motorsports. F1 fans are going nuts... If it goes well, Kimi is not going to settle for being in the Trucks Series for very long.
F1 continues to talk about Raikkonen even now that he isn't in Formula 1. <object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YuNIozokLDk?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YuNIozokLDk?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></object> Quote:

Wikipedia: Leaving Formula One Near the end of the 2009 season, Ferrari announced that Räikkönen would be leaving the team, despite having a contract to race for them in 2010 he would be replaced by Fernando Alonso.[53] He was expected to return to McLaren alongside Lewis Hamilton but negotiations with the team failed. Räikkönen was linked to Mercedes GP but the team eventually signed Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg. Toyota F1, before it pulled out of Formula One, offered Räikkönen a driving contract to replace Timo Glock in 2010. The BBC reported that he refused the contract owing to wanting to drive a race-winning car, not to mention Toyota not offering a large enough salary.[54] On 17 November 2009, his manager Steve Robertson confirmed that Räikkönen would not drive in Formula One in the 2010 season.[55] But during 2010 itself, rumours emerged once again about another possible Räikkönen comeback this time with the Renault team in 2011. This followed a resurgence in Renault's form, and the fact that the Russian Vitaly Petrov had yet to be re-signed like team-mate Robert Kubica. Team principal Éric Boullier claimed he had been contacted by Räikkönen in connection with a possible return, but said that although he was flattered by Räikkönen's alleged display of interest: Quote:
==== In 2008, Räikkönen was among the two Formula One drivers who made it into the Forbes magazine's The Celebrity 100 list, the other being Fernando Alonso. He is 36th on Forbes magazine's The Celebrity 100 list of 2008, and 41st on the previous year. On the same list, as of 2008, he is listed as the 26th highest paid celebrity overall and the 5th highest paid sportsman behind Tiger Woods, David Beckham, Michael Jordan and Phil Mickelson. In 2009, Räikkönen was listed as the equal 2nd highest paid athlete in the world, behind Woods. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kimi_R%C3%A4ikk%C3%B6nen |

On the replays looking down the straight from Turn 1, you can see the spring that hit the crewman bouncing across pit lane, right past some officials. Crazy. |
