From the pregame show:
2012 Post Season Wins = 52 runs, RISP = 22-67 Losses = 4 runs, RISP = 0-25 Yikes! |

Why the **** is Craig batting clean-up?

Ugh. Typical shaky first inning for Carp.
|
Bobble fail.
|
Cardinals infielders playing hot potato.
|
Anyone else hear this gagging sound coming from the west?
|
Well, that was a shitty thing to do. Pitchers who start getting crafty at the plate should probably be plunked.
|
Game 7 yet?
|
Way to show up, Carp.
|
jfc. this is stupid

Detroit is loving this.
... Carpenter scared of an invisible wall. |

Over or under 1.5 runs for the Giants this inning?
|
Damn this team can't make anything easy. I think only 3 teams have blown a 3-1 series lead in the LCS.

Ya. I'm sure the Tigers are hoping the Cards win this so they can save Wainwright for game 1. ROFL

WTH is that singing the God Bless America?

There's our opening.
Bad juju when you butcher God Bless America. |
Seems after game 4, our offense thought it was a best of 5 series.

DKnobler <s>@</s>DKnobler Since 1975, 14 home teams have won a Game 6 to force Game 7. 13 of 14 went on to win Game 7. Lone exception: 2006 Mets vs. Cardinals.

SF has had the oldest and most weirdest singers this series.

Yadi making him earn that out.
|
I'll give this to Joe Buck. Even though he's a Cards fan personally he doesn't let it show in his broadcasts.

Cardinals are 6-0 in elimination games the last two years.
Giants are 5-0 in elimination games this year. Someone is going down. |

Wow, if the Giants pull this off it is going to be absolutely amazing. Just got back in town. Gotta look for a ticket tomorrow.
With Melky out, Lincecum having a really hard year and Wilson gone for the entire season I can't believe we are just one win away. |
Carpenter, Holliday, Jay, Craig.......what have you done to help?
NOT MUCH |

Lost the best hitter of his generation Lost a Hall of Fame Manager Lost the best pitching coach of his generation Lost Carpenter for 150 games Manager who has never managed a baseball team in his life Wainwright coming off Tommy John (still not himself) Lost our leadoff hitter and SS before the end of the season Berkman did nothing to help us this year. I wouldnt be counting your chickens before they hatch. We can play like you have seen the last couple of games but for whatever the reason when their backs are against the wall. they win. Their 6-0 record the 2 years is all the proof that you need that I highly doubt the Cardinals you have seen the last two games is the one that shows up tonight. |
18 straight innings of garbage baseball.
7 unearned runs in 2 days. Maybe 3 or 4 decent ABs the entire time. Pitchers that are taking 2 innings to get the !@#$ing ball out of the top 1/2 of the strike zone. The Cardinals have spent the last 2 days doing absolutely every single thing wrong. And now they get to face Matt Cain at home in an elimination game against a team that clearly expects to win. But BRC says that I'm wrong to be disappointed if they don't win this thing. I don't see how this season can't possibly leave an awful taste in your mouth if they finish this choke job tomorrow. |

You will be disapointed almost every year. Last 12 years you have 10 different champions. Your Cardinals are one of the repeat Champions yet that's still not good enough? |
Let's do this!!! Should be fun as both teams have that never say die attitude. Fitting it goes to Game 7 between these 2 teams.

I think the Giants will get smoked by the Tigers. Tehy only have 2 pitchers and major holes in their 1-9 lineup. |

That's the thing about these sorts of deals - they don't happen in a vacuum. If you don't make the playoffs, you should be disappointed. If you lose in the NLDS, you almost always had a chance to win it and how can you honestly walk away from your average NLCS loss not thinking that you should have/could have won? If we lose this game, I will view this season as nothing more than the season where we blew a 3-1 series lead that we never should have lost because the team came out like dogs for 2 straight elimination games and set themselves up against one of the 3 best pitchers in the NL for a win or go home game on the road. Your 'list' becomes irrelevant once the ball is on your racket with an easy chance to win...then you mail it in against Barry !@#$ing Zito and his 84 mph gas. And what's so damn bad about being disappointed? Without disappointment, there's no ambition. |

Count me out as having the mindset of every season its a World Series or else its a disappointing season mentality. |
If SF wins tonight they will have won 6 straight elimination games in the post season. Thats a tall order.

They got to this level by being disappointed in less. Teams that are in the playoffs each year re-set their expectations. Ultimately, when this stage of their competition cycle is over (and it will happen sooner or later), you re-set your calculus again and change how you view certain goals. That said, for a veteran team with a top 10 payroll, the playoffs should be expected. And once you get to the playoffs, virtually any elimination is going to make a season a disappointing one. Right now, with this squad where it is, I don't see how losing tonight doesn't make this a failed season. Not after watching Matheny's slow hook in both Lynn starts. Not after watching them roll over and die in two elimination games. It's not just "Hey! The Cardinals made the NLCS and lost in seven!" It's the totality of how that occurred. Given the talent on this squad and the breaks that helped us get here (i.e. things like no Strasburg and the 2nd wildcard), there can be very few positives taken from the season at large if they finish this collapse. |

Cain was throwing darts his last time out. He made one bad pitch to MCarp or he could've gone 8 without giving up a run. I'll believe Cain's not right when I see it. I think he's the best power pitcher in the NL and power pitching is the coin of the realm in October. |
Hey.....would you assholes finish this so I don't have to hear all of these douchebag Giants fans anymore?

As far as the Cards, I would be disappointed if they lost, but they've gotten this far with Peter Kozma at shortstop, Beltran with a bad knee, Holliday a bad back, and a manager that seems lost in the moment. I'm proud of this team no matter what, and I certainly respect this Giants team.
