Not exactly a hell of a lot he can do about that if nobody gets open for him (and not one player did). Turning it over that way is preferable to just giving them a fast break basket.

OK, it wasn't a foul on Devonte. Brent is just senile. That makes far more sense.

He held the stinking ball for 2 seconds before he even looked for anyone. Kinda nonchalanted the ball the whole time. Too cool for school. Hells/bells, toss it up toward the backboard, that's not gonna yield a fast break! Sorry, Frank can do a LOT better than that. The kid can be DYNAMIC if he wants to be, but I fear his heads so far up his ass that he's rendered himself into just an average player. Sad.

In his defense the ref gave the blocking foul signal.

No...he was actually waiting for the play that Self drew up to come to fruition (Selden alley-oop off the screen). OSU sniffed it out and then nobody got open. It wasn't on Frank Mason at all.

You can't just stand there and let the clock run out. DO something with the stinking ball. Plays break down; I expect my "playmaker" to take charge and get rid of the rock. BUT, sounds like you're good with Mason. I'm not; I expect more out of him.

Nonetheless, glad to see we overcame our initial shooting doldrum.

This is a funny team; hard to figure out.

Reading this thread and one would think we were down by 20.

Lighten up, dudes. We just schooled Oklahoma on their home floor and are up by 13 going into the half.

Mason's played poorly for most of conference season. That has nothing to do with him not being at fault for the play you're talking about. Nobody got open. And again, if nobody gets open, eating the turnover in that spot is better than just throwing it in to nobody and giving the other team a fast break.

Meatloaf 02-15-2016 09:07 PM

More than any other year, I think we're winning more because of Self than any other contributor. This team has a bunch of decent players, each of whom has a significant hole (or two) in their game. Coach is doing yeoman work mixing/matching this year.

You certainly are a persistent person! I understand you point; I just don't agree with it. No big deal though. To each his own.

Let's win this thing. I want a blowout!!!

I'm really loving this improvement from Lucas. And good for Selden to keep being aggressive.

Meatloaf 02-15-2016 09:23 PM

Yeah, Lucas is having an outstanding game.

Amazing what confidence can do for an athlete. 2nd game in 3 that he's been this team's best player by far.

KC_Connection 02-15-2016 09:26 PM

Selden is such an enigma.

KC_Connection 02-15-2016 09:29 PM

10-0 run to get OSU right back in it. This team. LMAO
