Yeah, the Dutch were worse offenders. Like I said, late challenges are going to happen when you actually try to pressure a team. You have 2 choices, do what Portugal and Germany did or do what the Netherlands did. Unfortunately, some fouls are committed in the process of active pressure. What De Jong and to an extent Van Bommel did is inexcusable, I agree. But to label the Dutch is dirty is just ****ing stupid.

I label de Jong and van Bommel dirty. I like Sneijder quite a bit, and RvP obviously. But those two are pure thugs, and they prove that consistently. You keep saying how these decisions could have changed everything for the Dutch, but they should have been playing with 10 men from the 35ish minute on.
As an Arsenal fan, I'm well used to other teams trying to kick you off the field. I'm sure Barcelona and it's fans are too. Any time you play a possession and passing game, you're going to get teams that try to kick you to slow down the game. That's one way to play, but it normally makes for miserable soccer and it did in this case. No reason to defend it. The Dutch have had some incredible teams in the past, but this wasn't one of them. Legends they are not.
