I get it to some degree, they struggled in recent memory in the NCAA Tournament. But I don't place as much stock in the NCAA Tournament as most people do. The games Big 12 plays in the NCAA Tournament are about 10% of all of the games they play against non-Big 12 teams so it's not a real accurate barometer quite honestly. Lots of variance, lots of chance, lately they haven't been "running good" as we would say in poker.

Who gives a **** about how many B12 teams make the FF? Do you really think the best 4 teams in the country reach the FF every year? Do you think the best team in the country wins the NC every year? Do you honestly think the 2010 KU team was worse than UNI? Or anyone else in the country for that matter? Do you think the 2011 team was worse than VCU? Shit, the 2012 KU team was not the 2nd best team in the country by any means.

You know what you can judge? Consistency. Do you know why? Because it's extremely hard to achieve. This is why everyone remembers UCLA and why everyone will always remember coach K and Duke. They repeated and repeated and repeated and keep repeating.

The KU conference title run is historic just like coach K's National Championships are. Do you know why? Because no one else can do that shit. Something like this happens once every few generations and then it becomes history. Everyone remembers Gonzaga's streak and that was in a shitty mid-major conference. Everyone remembers UCLA's streak and that happened when Wooden had salaried players on his teams.

They are overrated based on perception. When are they the #1 rated conference consecutive years in a row? People think of the Big 12 football as this second powerful conference to the SEC, but IMO its just not true. Baylor and TCU are the definition of soft. The Big 10 and Pac 12 are both better, although Id put the Big 12 over the ACC. Fortunately for us its bball has been very strong. Plus the Big 12 football struggles have extended to the regular nonconference season slate, whereas thr B12 in bball comes just short of dominating in theirs.
