It's hilarious to watch the whole alpha v beta internet fad play out in this thread. As evidenced by Buck/Clay once a beta always a beta. They've both dropped a lot of baby fat and experienced a modicum of success with the ladies as of late, but good lord once one little thing goes sideways the fat rejected kid comes blazing back in the blink of an eye. That self doubt never really goes away, I have a good friend who just finished up his anesthesiology residency and grew into his features and he still reverts to beta mode and gets absolutely owned by girls eventually. That confidence after the weight loss and whatever else is paper thin and obviously gets fractured at the drop of a hat.

DaKCman is the about the only true alpha I've seen in this thread and it is evident by his attitude and very specific things he has said in the past...well and yours truly of course. :p

Hey **** you.

Pathetic if that's the reason

I have no clue, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Online girls seem to be overly sensitive to just about everything.

They wouldn't be online if they didn't have issues.

Remember, online dating for both men and women = middle-to-bottom-of-the-barrel people.

Hammock Parties 04-06-2014 09:22 PM

No cause for alarm. Just being cautious.

I really need to shut the **** up.

Saccopoo 04-06-2014 11:26 PM

Man, this thread really ****ing sucks.

Google is the best
Except when you are dating
Whoops, I said too much

Yo, anybody in this thread have any experience with DateMySchool.com? I made an account after being "invited" via my undergrad email address, only to find out after the fact that it has a paygate and what appears to be a relatively limited userbase, at least here in Minnesota.

The reason I'm still curious? With only a single picture and not a word in my profile, I've received six unsolicited messages over the course of two days, which is far more than I ever have ever had on other sites in the past.

I can't read the messages without a subscription (which starts at $20 a month), but I have four theories for the messages:

1) The messages come from fake (or "filler") accounts used to draw gullible folks like me into paying them cash. I can see the first dozen or so characters of each message, but it's not enough for me to discern whether or not the messages are real.
2) Being a new member promotes me on people's browsing lists, exposing me to far more users than I usually would be.
3) I'm a graduate of a very good college, so it's possible that people see that (as it's a central component of this site) and decide to have a go at me despite knowing nothing else.
4) When I put forth the effort, the way I describe myself is so incredibly repulsive that I receive a million more messages when I simply leave my profile blank and allow my hot, hot looks to work their magic.

I'd be interested to hear from anybody who's used the site before.

Hammock Parties 04-08-2014 06:18 PM

Dude, that's obviously a scam.

Just get on match.com (which is actually worth the money), or OKCupid if you'd rather not pay.
