I always cited the problems Marcus Smart will have is shot selection. He's a great talent. But he repeatedly hurt his team by taking HORRENDOUS shots. He is convinced (kind of like Svi to some degree) that he is a great three point shooter and takes way way more than he needs to. LeBron eventually learned he wasn't a good shooter, so he stopped shooting so many threes and long twos, instead chose to attack the rim more. Not saying they are the same players, but Smart really needs to focus on just taking it to the rim and open catch and shoot shots.
And here we look at his NBA stats, he's one of the least efficient shooters in all of the NBA. Last year he shot 36% from the field, and this year he hasn't improved, shooting again 36%. Know what you are good at, and do it. Just to illustrate how bad that is, the ONLY player that is shooting a worse percentage in the NBA is Kobe "black hole" Bryant and Emmanuel Mudiay. Kobe has been hurting his teams for years now once his ego got large enough.
