Suicide check on Rust?

$10 says he's in here within the hour reminding us we lost at BOOO colosseum and that they're poised to own us again and make a run at the final four.

What about someone from Baylor? Looked like they had a bunch of ballets tonite although it was against a HS girls defense.

Btw a piece of Rust died tonite when Niang passed The Mayor for 3rd scoring ISU history. Although Rust might have a voodoo doll of him now after bolting Ames

I have a lot of respect for Smart, but I'm not gonna crown him yet, as far as for the future of the Big 12. Still have to see what kind of recruits he can get. His guys, not leftovers. That's gonna be the big indicator on whether or not Texas can become our biggest threat in the years to come. It'd be best for the Big 12 if KU and Texas were fighting it out every year. I expect Smart to deliver. We'll see though.

The thing about texas though... i just don't see a rivalry ever taking hold. That atmosphere and fan support is one of the worst in the league. It strikes zero fear into visiting teams. OSU, Oklahoma, KState, ISU... those are environments that a rivalry could grow, if their program could only match....

Prince just doesn't do anything other than shoot the ball... Gaithers, he's a stud... and he's about as valuable a player as one can have on the team... Cam Ridley would have been the guy for me had he stayed healthy, but he didn't... so it's either Rico or Devin Williams from WVU

The thing is I don't think ISU, KSU, OSU or OU have any staying power as you stated, aside from a lucky class or single recruit here or there at least. The best bet is Texas. They're banking on Smart changing what you mentioned. KU mostly gets the best players in the conference and I don't expect that to change, but maybe Smart will get it going. Too soon to tell though.

Oh i think Oklahoma, OSU and even ISU could maintain. I don't think any of the three could with their current coaches, though. Hoiberg was doing it at ISU, he had built something very good. KSU just doesn't have easy enough access to a metro to entice recruits on a consistent basis.

I was glad to see Smart finally get his payday for beating KU in the elite 8 after KU went 2-21 from behind 3.

I'm interested to see if it will pan out for Smart, too...

I don't buy this. I don't think any recruit comes to KU because it's 60 minutes closer to the KC metro area than Mancrappin.

I always cited the problems Marcus Smart will have is shot selection. He's a great talent. But he repeatedly hurt his team by taking HORRENDOUS shots. He is convinced (kind of like Svi to some degree) that he is a great three point shooter and takes way way more than he needs to. LeBron eventually learned he wasn't a good shooter, so he stopped shooting so many threes and long twos, instead chose to attack the rim more. Not saying they are the same players, but Smart really needs to focus on just taking it to the rim and open catch and shoot shots.

And here we look at his NBA stats, he's one of the least efficient shooters in all of the NBA. Last year he shot 36% from the field, and this year he hasn't improved, shooting again 36%. Know what you are good at, and do it. Just to illustrate how bad that is, the ONLY player that is shooting a worse percentage in the NBA is Kobe "black hole" Bryant and Emmanuel Mudiay. Kobe has been hurting his teams for years now once his ego got large enough.

He's talking about the coach at Texas, Shaka smart

Prison Bitch 02-17-2016 06:35 PM

I thought he was talking Marcus too and I was like "wtf is this?"

Chiefs Pantalones 02-17-2016 07:33 PM
