If just one of our players played as consistently hard as Marcus Smart, we'd be far better off.

If playing hard consists of flailing around, flopping, and shooting deep contested jumpers,....then hell no. You seem to think guys are "playing harder" than others when they celebrate after plays and do lots of fist pumps. While I am not opposed to celebration, that doesnt mean you are playing hard or not. If I recall you thought Wiggins didnt try very much in the majority of his games. Some players like Wiggins, Ellis, Lucas arent emotional players. Whereas guys like Embiid, Greene, and Graham are. Doesnt mean either one is playing any harder

It consists of playing at a high energy level consistently and playing excellent defense while doing it (his elite defense has also translated very well to the NBA so far). I'd love to have any player like that on our side. As anybody who has watched KU play in recent years, we've had issues with both and it has cost us in a big way.

I don't think it's any coincidence that the last guy to win at AFH is hated by most KU fans, though.

Awesome, been a while since we've read KCC's opinion of Marcus Smart and how it differs from everybody else in the world. It only looks like flopping through your bitter Jayhawk tears!

saphojunkie 02-17-2016 09:13 PM

Marcus smart is a great player who plays like a bitch. How's that?

Yeah, I'm sure the Marcus Smart hate here has absolutely nothing to do with him beating KU at AFH and doing a backflip on the court. LMAO

Marcus Smart's elite defense is well acknowledged by anybody who has watched the NBA. How that couldn't help this team, I'm not sure.

If Marcus Smart "plays like a bitch," I'd love to know what you'd call what Perry Ellis does out there.

Tubby is going back to the tournament.

Mr. Plow 02-17-2016 10:04 PM

Wow. TT beats OU. Didn't see that coming

Mr. Plow 02-17-2016 10:05 PM

Also, Duke beat UNC so they should jump to #1 next week.

Chiefs Pantalones 02-17-2016 10:05 PM

What an excellent job Tubby Smith has done. Tech was dead. They deserve to be in the big dance now no question.

LMAO

How did they manage to do that anyway? I was watching OU/Tech and suddenly Duke got out in front.

Wheels are coming off OU. Sucks. Now we get to hear how overrated the B12 is. OU was playing really good ball when they were ranked 1. Less so now.

O.city 02-17-2016 10:07 PM

Ingram from duke looks like a stud pro

You can't keep a team out with wins over OU, Texas, and ISU. No bad losses either. They'll be there.
