Also hopefully the stagnant safety market helps the Chiefs get a good player cheap.

Someone made a good point on Twitter. Those rookie salaries are going to just replace the bottom part of the roster right now really, so the cap space isn’t all that much different.

Depends on the return kc is looking for. If you want little return, sure, trade West. If you actually want something, trade Ware.

If kc wants to move Ware and sign Rawls I'd have to think it's because they don't like how similar the styles of ware and hunt are. Otherwise I don't know why they would do it.

I don't know why you would want two different types of RBs in this offense. It'd be a benefit to have both Ware and Hunt back there because you could rotate them out and it wouldn't show what you're trying to do on offense.

Good point regarding the cap. We have more space than we think.

I want to get this out of the way right now, the draft doesn't cost 4 to 5 mil against the cap. Yes that is the total cost, but it isn't the new cap hit. You have to figure in the current bottom contracts falling off. No no no. He had a PCL, IIRC. Much different.

Article says MCL and PCL. Rapaport tweeted that it is PCL and LCL.
Either way it sounds like multiple ligaments got torn. Not good for his recovery. He may not have any real value at this point. He will probably have to prove himself again to have any value.

Sheldon Richardson to Vikings.

The Franchise 03-16-2018 09:27 AM

So the Vikings, Rams and Eagles are going to go to war this season. Should be some fun games to watch.

I watched Berry come back from two different ACL's and Charles come back from a ACL AND DJ Come back from a ACL.

I'm not scared of PCL and LCL.

Berry hasn’t torn two ACLs

Everyone else is basically fighting for those two wildcard spots.

Barring some bullshit....your top 4 NFL playoff teams should be Eagles, Rams, Saints and Vikings.

I think Berry is likely to start the season at less than 100% given the way the other Chiefs Achilles injuries have gone.

BleedingRed 03-16-2018 09:43 AM

Tyrann Mathieu really would make this defense work provided he avoided injury. We need someone like him so we don't tip our defense set. Sutton comes from Rex Ryan's Defense school of thought.

Exotic blitzes coupled with Zone Blitzing and Straight man Coverage. Tyrann Mathieu allows us to really not show our hand because he can cover TE/RB/WR.

But more than anything...... With Tyrann Mathieu we can focus on the trenches during the draft!
