Lets hope we get a nice UDFA class to add to this draft.

I get that we have a great team, and Veach is a really good GM, and I am just a dude typing on his keyboard, JUST LIKE ALL OF YOU, but some of the picks in this draft feel like Veach is just looking for that gotcha moment, in the off chance the player hits and the scouting department can look like they knew something no one else did.

The truth is that it almost doesn't matter what Veach does, because Mahomes will keep dragging this team to the playoffs no matter who we put on the field.

Like Isiah Pacheco and Jaylen Watson and Trey Smith and L'Jarius Sneed and even Nick Allegretti.

Taking a chance on lottery tickets in the later rounds is great. Sure sometimes they are Kahlil McKenzie or Bopete Keyes but when they hit and you can get Super Bowl starters and contributors then that's a great thing.

There is no such thing as a sure thing in the 4th-7th round. They are all there because is perceived issues whether that be size, skill, character, etc. It's really not worth getting upset about.

I am not upset at all. My team just won the SB.

I am confused at some of the picks, but not upset.

Now, if Ojomo had been there, and we took Nic Jones, then I would have been upset.

It would be interesting to see how "the experts" graded the 2022 draft after the last pick. I'd almost bet it was a C+/B-. But we did win the SB, so **** off Prisco and 4/5ths of the clowns on NFLN.

That said, Veach and Co. know a lot more about football than we do. If we get all 7 picks on the roster, I'd say it was a success.

Bit surprised we went without a pick at either Tight End or Running Back and doubled up at Cornerback for the 2nd draft in a row but in Veach We Trust.

The front office gave more than earned the right to be given the benefit of any doubt. Picking late in every round can make it frustrating as a good player at a position of need frequently seems to come within 3-4 picks then gets swept away by a major rival. Eagles really lucked out with how the board fell to them several times.

With the surplus of quality TEs i really thought we were going to nab at least one, especially with our preponderance of 13P last season.

Guess that's not the ultimate path for KC going forward.

Any more, I just look at the positions we pick and evaluate the direction of the team more than the individual players.

I have a hard time arguing with the positions we drafted. Maybe would’ve liked another offensive weapon over one of the DBs, but nothing I’m too concerned with.

I agree with the direction of this draft, and I’ll defer to Veach’s evaluation of the players over my own.

Veach would have raped the Raiders in this trade down but they said no.

They were prepared to take Anton Harrison at 12 if Tyree wasn’t there. I like Harrison but that would have been a huge reach.
