My entire point is even though Ernie Sims is good he means nothing to the Lions team being any good, do you get it?

Now address my point, Ernie Sims drafted 10th overall is a borderline pro bowl backer with more natural gifts than Curry has, what difference is he making for the Lions?

That should answer the question about taking a non pass rushing LB this high.

Archie Manning was a two-time pro-bowl QB, once Player of the Year, put up Hall-of-Fame numbers across a 13 year career, but never had a winning season. Could it be because it's a team game?

You're going to love pioli zombie.

It's QB's and Jenkins and that's really it, none of those other players are justifiable.

No cornerback has been drafted higher than #5 in the last decade. Only one CB has EVER been drafted as high as #3. So much for "positional value." Or is Jenkins substantially better than guys like Sanders and Bailey - a once-in-a-lifetime talent?

Alot of this fanbase just like to criticize franchise QB's because we have never drafted one.

Those guys were the top prospects in their drafts. They were all picked #1. They would be equivalent to Stafford this year.

The Chiefs aren't going to get Stafford (unless they trade up). They're looking at the #2 QB prospect.

The second QBs selected the same years as Elway, Manning, and Aikman were Blackledge, Leaf, and Elkins. Three busts - two of them Chiefs.

What an amazing set of examples you picked - to scare people off of Sanchez! Did you do that on purpose?!

Lets put it this way, why when your team sucks would anyone think it's a good idea to build your team around a strong side LB, does that make any sense?

He's not half the college player AJ Hawk was and Hawk has been disappointing so far.

I had a dream last night.

Lions go for Stafford.

Louis go for Sanchez.

Chiefs go for Curry.

Also, we beat the Raiders 11-0, our TD comes from a 60+ yard bust from a new RB that we acquire through the draft.

Oh, and TT was our QB.

Note: I ate too much last night.

You really never know what you're gonna get when they hit the NFL. JUst the position he plays alone, I think takes him out of the top 5, but that's not to say he won't blow A.J. away as a pro, which I think he will.

Coming from me a guy who's seen Curry quite a bit I was never THAT impressed. I always looked at him as a fringe to middle of the first guy.

I always thought the same about Hawk. I thought he just "looked the part", bu never thought he would be that great. So far he's living up to my expectations. I feel the same about Laurinitis.

I think we should take Sanchez and this guy...

James Laurinaitis is Scott Fujita.

HAHA.....now what makes him your guy?

beach tribe 02-19-2009 02:56 AM

That's the kind of guy we need opposite Bowe right there. Not a Carbtree type.
