...and a voice from the heavens spake saying "This is my son, Geno Smith, in whom I am well pleased".

Obviously the Cheaps weren't that stupid either... Fish is a good pick, he will be an anchor on that line for a good decade.

Reading about him on here was rather humorous. There were people here turning on each other over this average QB~

I had to stop there. Geno's no Andrew Luck. Everyone except the Geno cult on this board thinks Geno is not an elite prospect. Thing is, we can still reach on a QB, and at much better value now.

Hope not. It would be much easier to take with a second round pick~

I would not be surprised to see Teo in a Raiders uniform soon

The Bad Guy 04-26-2013 02:04 AM

When this boards famed qb gurus like claynus and ror get behind a qb run the other ****ing way.

RunKC 04-26-2013 02:09 AM

I didn't even realize that Geno called out ESPN on NFL Network on earlier this week and tweeted it.

Jesus. This kid is almost as immature as Ryan Leaf.

Pouts, calls people out and doesn't take responsiblity.

No wonder nobody touched him in the first round. He has talent, but my God his intangibles might be some of the worst I've seen from any QB in years.

I said it 8 months ago and I'll say it again: Geno Smith is not a leader.

I laid down right after the Chiefs pick and woke up hoping to see that Geno was gone, that way I'd never have to hear about him again. **** no, the bastard won't go away. Someone needs to pick his ass already.

Now, it could be that you were all correct and the entire NFL is wrong. Could be. However, anybody who actually watched Geno Smith during the second half of last season knew that he wasn't 1.1 material.

Personally, I like Geno, but good lord people...if you're going to be so sure about something, do your homework first.

Ouch. I wanted Geno, but there were a handful that took it a bit far. Good post.

No. Rodgers has perhaps a slightly better arm, maybe a tad more nimble.

What's the main difference?

One of them can't dance.

God dammit, Geno. You got ****ed.

LMAO Come on, man. I liked Geno, but this is ridiculous.

Thank you. Used to be you could have an impassioned football discussion on this board with someone who knew something about football and genuinely liked the Chiefs. Now when you question a players weaknesses you get called a racist or told to die on anaids tree. Why even argue with that kind of idiocy?

The only way to get a real QB in this league is to go ****ing get one yourself, warts and all.

Geno wasn't terrible at all. In fact, he would have been in a perfect position.

I hope the people who find this hilarious are equally as cheerful next year at this time when all the good QBs are gone before the Chiefs pick and we're forced to YET AGAIN pass on QB talent just because there's no "sure thing."

You'll keep saying the Chiefs did the right thing. Meanwhile, Alex Smith will be yucking it up and you'll continue to bitch about the Chiefs being "unlucky."

There's no such thing as luck in the NFL. The Ravens needed a QB in 2008. So did the Falcons. They "reached" on their guys and got what they needed.

We're going to roll with Alex Smith. Think about that.

BUT AT LEAST OUR LT WILL BE REALLY GOOD, RITE?

Yeah, and with any luck the team might get a pro bowl guard as well. One that is a very strong pillar of the community.

You're missing the fact that waiting around for JUST THE RIGHT MOMENT hasn't worked in 30 years, and it's time to go outside your comfort zone and pick a ****ing QB.

EJ Manuel isn't a 1st round QB. Look at the Bills. THEY'RE NOT AFRAID.

We are.

We're also ****ed until we get over ourselves.

Funny you mention 30 years. 1983 was an awesome draft.

Really.

warpaint* 04-26-2013 03:36 AM

The entire league agreed w/ them about all these QBs which makes it much more palatable. Plus the potential for still getting one tonight is there.

Just a bad yr to be picking one looking for a franchise QB. Maybe they'll find Russell Wilson in the 3r. It's all we have left to hope for

You're not. You're just fine with failure. Hell, you're more than fine with it. You're having a great ****ing time! Geno Smith fell? HAHAHAHA that's so funny! Glad we didn't pick him!

For ever QB you take solace in that you didn't pick, you miss the ones that actually do turn out that you had a shot at. And guess who always comes out on top in the end.

Enjoy yourself, dickweed. Enjoy 7-9 this year. You earned it!

I agree w/ you re: how to find a franchise QB, that is something that can't be disputed. However the Chiefs decision last night was validated. Hopefully they find one tonight as AS isn't the answer.
