I'd be interested in knowing if their ratings in the New England region are even more down than average. There was ALOT of hatred up here for ESPN for the way they handled Deflategate.

I try, but I really can't stand these radical political agents in sports news It's like we are quickly turning into the USSR with the political correctness.

People cutting the cord left and right these days. More networks than just ESPN in trouble.

Maybe, but ESPN must be closer to the edge or they wouldn't be killing their on-air talent and forcing the ones left alive to report tearfully about their colleagues' deaths.

Wow, that's awesome...

ESPN is going out of business.

Or keeping some morons (i.e. Chris Berman) far too long than needed. I mean, Sports Center used to be pretty awesome back then, until it made it a Scot Van Pelt show or whatever the hell it is now.

It's a joke of an organization.

Track and field might be one of the most popular sports in the world behind soccer. It's certainly not as popular in America, for sure though. But there's a reason Bolt has made a bazillion dollars.

GloryDayz 08-16-2016 07:40 PM

**** ESPN! That is all.

IMHO, the change to SVP was a welcomed change and the best thing about sportscenter. But even that wasn't enough. The shows jump all over the place and are more about opinions/debate/projection that they are pretty worthless.

That's my point, it jumps all over the place and it's more of like a TMZ.

And there is the root of the problem. MTv stopped showing music and espn did something similar. Its mostly op-ed and doesn't highlight all sports. ESPN used to be about sports. There were so many sports that they had to grow into another channel for content. As they tried to increase market share, ESPN decided to have more drama related content. This started about the time Disney bought ABC. People are tired of it. Combine that with all the different ways to get content and its a disaster for them. They don't matter anymore.

Speaking of beatings.... What happened to Hope Solo for her antics?
