This!

The Giants have earned our respect.

Cubs fans are the worst....and I don't feel bad for them and their decades (century) of bad luck either because the Cubs fans that I am around deserve it.

Like DJ said in a vacuum yeah great year nothing to be upset about.

But when you have a team on the ropes and a chance to deliver a knock out blow at home you damn well better do it. You most certainly don't fall apart at the plate on the mound and in the field like they have done.

This was supposed to be a veteran experienced team. Finish this shit off

I've never been there, so honestly, I probably shouldn't run my trap.... My perception has been molded by the first things I think of when I hear about SF which are; Full House, hippies, Kenny Powers's prejudiced comments about SF at the first part of the first episode, the South Park "smug" episode and how everything we covered in an Alternative Lifestyles course in college was always somehow connected to San Francisco.

They never really rooted for ND, I just knew they were supposed to win. Then suddenly they weren't winning very often and that just didn't seem right to me. So I started rooting for ND to win.

Then came Bob Davie. I've rarely been as angry with anyone as I was when Davie decided it would be brilliant to send a sellout blitz against Michigan State while leading by more than a FG and having your opponent pinned inside their own 20 with about a minute left in the game. I hate you Bob Davie. Oh how I hate you.

As I went off to college (that wasn't ND), the Domers took on a clear second fiddle status to Mizzou. That said, I'll still root for them over anyone else because by God, college football is better when Notre Dame has that bullseye on their back.

RIP Dave May, 68.

One of the very few native Delawareans to play big league ball; he had a 12 year career. His son Derrick also played for ten years, and is apparently a Cardinals minor league hitting coach, which is why I felt relatively safe trolling the thread with this post.

Everyone is always welcome in here. We will talk a lot of baseball realted issues in here over the year because its usually the only baseball thread on the front page.

We rarely have an issue with trolls anymore so everyone is usally pretty welcoming.

Did you know Dave or his son? Or just some state pride?

SAUTO 10-22-2012 05:58 PM

Brc the royals thread is on the front page quite a bit too.

not a cards fan here but I will be rooting for them tonight.

Father in law had a severe stroke and is in the hospital. Huge fan.

Told us all he has a box for the world series and was going to surprise us. So I guess most of us will get to go. But not him. Sad panda here.

I have the most difficult time finding freaking streams for baseball games. I end up searching for 30 minutes every damn time. I am pinching a penny due to going through some financial woes, so don't have any TV that the bunny ears don't pick up on. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Btw, firstrowsports.eu says I need to download this stream app to get the game...I am not taking that route.

Problem is we're playing a team that's been there and done that, not the never-won-shit Nationals. I sure would feel better about this game if it was being played in St. Louis. But Lohse is probably the best guy for the job. I guess we'll see.

I use this a lot.

www.vipbox.tv

Here's the game: http://www.vipboxsports.eu/baseball/...am-online.html

The trick is- don't click anything they ask you to.

1) A big ad will appear in the center. Close it. It'll trigger a popup window. Close that.

2) There will be an ad in the center of the screen. It may tell you to download something or that your computer has a problem. Ignore it and DON'T CLICK ANYTHING. Wait about 20-30 seconds; it'll go away.

3) There will still be a small box in the center of the screen. Don't click it, either. After a few seconds a blue X will appear in the top left of it. Don't click that, either. Mouse over it and a tiny X will appear at the bottom left.

4) What are you waiting for? Click it! This also works for the banner ad at the bottom.

5) Watch baseball.

3rd inning may be our best chance to get to Cain. Top of the lineup and no one will be up in the SF bullpen yet.
