Reynolds is too dumb to keep score.

Man, a lot of people would have never survived the 70's and 80's when we just couldn't seem to win the big game to put us in the show, excluding 80 when we did make it and lost

Hootie is like that guy from memento but all of the post it notes & tatoos remind him to predict things that already happened or are completely obvious or stuff that is factually incorrect

Gif-up that Ump grabbing his junk!

Not to sound like a hater, but trust me guys, as a Phils fan I know what it feels like to lose playoff games to this on paper generic team that somehow seems to play 100 levels above their talent level in the playoffs. It really makes no sense.
But I believe in the Royals. They proved after game one they are not broken after defeat. That is impressive especially after it was their first loss of the postseason and they bounced right back and won game 2. Pulling for the Royals in this series, it's such a great story. |
Why not hit butler there?

How many do they get this inning? 3, 4, 8????

There's no reason for Salvy to catch this inning. Might as well put Butler in center field just so he can tell his grandkids about it.
Willingham in right, Billy in center. |

Just gotta come back out and grind tomorrow. Keep it close until Bum is done and then open it up.
|
Lead-off guy gets on???
And 11 different guys got on!! LOL, Yosted! |
Would have been cool to utilize the Hosmer double. PH for the Moose. Bunt...
Could haves, would haves tonight. Royals had their chances. ****. |

I'll be curious to see of this "thing" Shields apparently found in his bullpen session. It's probably herpes, but it's worth tuning in to see.

You guys are pretty damn good yourself s at finding ways to win. It may be a best of 3 series now. You got 2 games at the K. They have Peavey and Hudson to pitch against you. Your still going to win this sucker. |
It sucks to watch a game in a park that nobody hits home runs in.

I wouldn't be shocked if Shields and Bum had an ol' fashioned pitchers duel tomorrow, decided by the back end of the bullpens. I like our chances in that scenario...
|
No we can't heart Buck and we don't give a **** you ****ing idiot....

I hope he found that he needs to stop leaving his pitches over the middle of the plate |
Hootie just did a back body drop through a balsa wood table with a stick figure Yost drawn on it in crayon. That'll show that ****er.

As far as I'm concerned this game changed when the homeplate umpire rung Vargas up on what was clearly a ball.
That single run that would have scored on the bases loaded walk would have affected later decisions by Yost, such as bringing Escobar in on the ground ball that scored a run. |
I want to preface my comment by saying that I'm usually the last person to complain about announcing.
But I finally had to turn the volume off. The non-stop fellating of the Giants was out of control. God, I need a shower. I sound like a Baltimore fan. |

Losing a game is obviously part of most series, but losing after having a three run lead is what makes this so hard to swallow.
|
Yost... won't steal, pulled Vargas, pulled Duffy just after a big strikeout... allowed the momentum shift. worst in game decision manager in the league. Too bad that we will be stuck with him for at least 2 years after going to the WS
|
The bright spot is our cyborgs got needed rest for the final stretch of the series. For some reason I'm not really upset. I feel good about our chances, guys.

Low leverage Strickland up next!

I wish I had as much confidence in Shields as some of you have.

if bum wins , the odds still heavily favor SF...bottom line for example lets say the two games at the K, the royals are 60% to win each game, still only gives a 36% chance to win both games (for the royals) you have to move it up to 70% royal win percent (per game) chance to win each game to break even (49% chance to win 2 games in a row @ 70% chance to win each game) Whereas SF would only need 1 game out of the two...so even at 70% chance of royals winning per game it would be 30% + 21% = 51% chance to win one game out of two I think |
What the actual **** happened?
|
I'm already over this game.
AFAIC, last night's win was HUGE, it guaranteed a return to KC. It took all the pressure off winning today or Sunday. After last night I already was preparing for the possibility of having to win two at home. And I'm OK with that. I'm not predicting we're gonna sweep in KC, but I'm comfortable with that scenario. |
It would be hilarious if Strickland gave up another HR here.
