Clowney is soft PERIOD and why the Texans were afraid to pay him. Missed too many games for their liking.

The guys been great this year and destroyed the 9ers yesterday. You're just not watching him if you insist on banging this drum. He does so much more than just rush the passer and if that's all you wanted then you should've loved Dee Ford.

I'll keep banging this drum!

We (rightly) murdered Justin Houston for needing Justin Hamilton to fire him up and keep him focused last year.

But hey - Frank Clark was probably just doing his job when he didn't realize he was supposed to be in the !@#$ing game on a key play.

A team leader doesn't have to be told that he's in that package. He's champing at the bit to get out there either way and at worst needs to be told to get OFF the field.

!@#$ing Clark, OTOH, appeared content with taking the key play of the game off until he realized that he was supposed to be out there.

DPOY stuff right there...

Pining for Clowney ROFL You morons would be ripping him to shreds for a 5 sack pace on an average defense (which Seattle is too) You realize their defense is nothing special right?

THREE sacks in 10 games and the defense was SHREDDED by Tampa at home the week before.

Hey, Kobe Bryant once went an entire half of a playoff elimination game without shooting when he got tired of being called a ballhog.

I mean sure, they got blown out and their season ended, but point Kobe - amiright? He showed us all that night.

If it works for the Black friggen Mamba, it'll work for Frank Clark.

Sure. Take your time. The Chiefs have been trying to figure out how to play defense for almost two decades.

Pasta Little Brioni 11-13-2019 10:20 AM

Most teams struggle on defense in 2019. Hell, I'm confident we'd fist that Niners D at full health. Put up 30 in a half on a NE team that shut down everyone else last year down the stretch

The disturbing part is it happening against a sack of shit Titans offense. Seattle's d sucks balls too though, so let's get that straight.

“I’ve been playing kind of timid this whole season,” Clark said. “That’s why I’ve been kind of slow. I’ve had a pinched nerve since the end of training camp. I’ve been playing through it. It just got to the point where [it] was so serious it was sending burning sensations down my arm. My two fingers were going numb. I had to take precautions, get checked out and make sure everything that I was doing football-wise wasn’t going to affect my life after football.”

Then give back 3/4 of your salary for this season... Better yet, renegotiate your contract so you get the vet minimum base with heavily loaded incentives, so IF you ever get back to the point where you don't play like a timid turd, when you get paid, you will have EARNED your money.

This guy was supposed to be Khalil Mack-lite. If he's hurt, he's hurt, but thus far, this has to go down as one of the worst trade and signs in NFL history. Not THE worst, but up there.

In58men 11-14-2019 08:30 AM

So he couldn’t make it on the field on time so we had 10 players on defense and Henry just walks into the end zone?

Also, Hardman wasn’t ready for a punt? Could t get his glove on in time?

This team absolutely has ZERO urgency and lack of awareness.

No discipline whatsoever.

Sure can! I believe that's included in the "Veach is a dumbass" -clause of the contract.

Unfortunately, that portion of our program is covered in the "Head Coach fails to install situational awareness, toughness, and general intelligence"-portion of our head coaching contract.

He won’t retire because he has 62m in injury guarantees and evidently got hurt in camp.

Guessing the reason trades are not final until a player passes a physical is to prevent the above.

Not how the league works bud, especially if you want players who are good. Guys like Cam Erving have incentive based contracts if that tells you anything.

Good news is that Clark’s cap hit is only $6.5 million, but after this year he’s averaging around $23 million for the duration of his contract.

It’s okay though. This franchise will go full reerun again and pay Chris Jones and I’m sure he’ll not be anywhere near the ROI just like every big time defensive player we sign.

RunKC 11-14-2019 11:00 AM

It’s ironic as hell that basically every player we pay big money to on defense is not worth the ROI (Tamba-last contract-,Houston, Berry, Clark etc) but on offense a lot of the guys were worth it.

Kelce
Schwartz
Tyreek (so far)
Mahomes will be well worth it

Shit i’d argue Eric Fisher is worth his contract after the hell we’ve seen without him.

And that's exactly why the Chiefs need to lock up their proven offensive stars and draft defense.

Lol, that's fair. Though i still think this team is in a great position to win the AFCW as it stands. Unfortunately they've already lost more games than they did in the 2018 regular season. (I'd say playing a tougher schedule and so key injuries has had a lot to do with that.)

The Chargers o line, especially both T positions suck right now. The Raiders all of the sudden were good at getting to the QB. The Chiefs should do the same and more. Not guaranteeing Clark will stand out, but its there for taking.

Lol 2 sacks against a garbage team with a garbage line and a garbage QB who had given up and 1 sack in which Chris Jones should be credited for 99% of. Frank N Beans was getting owned by the OT, again, and just happened to be in the right place at the right time. So very pathetic and sad.

I am anti this terrible contract of Clarks as they come but the last 6 games set up nicely for him. He is going to tee off on the Broncos again so pencil him in for 2-3 sacks on that game alone. If he gets 2 sacks in 3 games with Chargers x2/Raiders left thats gonna put him at 8 sacks which is pretty on par with his career numbers sadly. They overpaid the guy massively for 8-10 sacks and a lot of meh.

Other times I just realize I've thrown out too many expletives in consecutive points and do it intentionally to take the edge off.

I suspect there's a pattern but the hell if I know what it might be...

I’m thinking that Justin Houston game at Denver a couple years back.

JohnnyV13 11-18-2019 10:20 PM

Offense can't put them away.

MotherJefer 11-18-2019 10:22 PM

OP looks like an idiot.

Great Expectations 11-18-2019 10:25 PM

Need him to step up big once again for this last drive. Offense has gone way too conservative imho.

You can’t be serious, like everyone in the NFL you play who is lined up against you. He moved around a lot, they knew where he was, accounted for it and he made plays. It is exactly what we want him to do, give credit when it is due.

Imon Yourside 11-18-2019 10:52 PM

Frank Clark DID NOT suck tonight.
