Alabama doesn't claim 1945 and they claim everything they can. Why? Because they acknowledge the historical superiority of the Army team and the decisions made in 1945 by people who watched those teams. They have pride.

The reason that Okie State submitted a claim is because they are a loser program who has no real titles so they are left to fabricating ones. And for that they deserve to be mocked.

They lost to OSU and TCU this year, but they're probably the best team in the conference. Head coach is a defense guy, makes some bone head decisions on offense.

Yeah, they get a good amount of benefit of the doubt... if you're undefeated or have one loss, you're in the top 5-7. It's not as bad as B1G, but voters are pretty slow to realize a power 5 conference is in a down year and they're driven off preseason polls far more than they should be.

It's the one year Cincinnati or similar conference team deserves to be in, because there's just not any good alternatives. I think OK St and Baylor aren't top 10, but WTF would you replace with them?
