Pretty damn lame to not kick a FG there. It’s not like you’re up 40 pts.
|
Dammitt Andy you can’t even kick a field goal?
|
MVS actually has two WRs worse than him on the team.

Great game.... Still need to iron out the mistakes. But, overall a solid team win.
NOW.... It's OFFICIALLY Raider week in KC. Andy needs to bring in Brian Schottenheimer this week to give a pep talk about the importance of beating the socks off the Raiders at Arrowhead. GO CHIEFS!!!! |
Nice victory BRC

They need to hold these guys accountable and deactivate/cut both Skyy Moore and Kadropius Toney.
Bring up Washington, go sign Sammy Watkins, whoever. They just can't keep trotting this crap out week in and week out. |

I never abandon my team during a GDT. |
Going to just pretend I don't hate seeing how s*** Toney has turned out. What a waste of talent. More importantly...Rice looks really, really good. If we have to draft 3 weapons every year to get one stud I'm happy to do it and risk more Moores.

You guys bitching about the kneeldown would've been first with the pitchforks if an important player got injured.
The point is to win the game. The game was won. |

But in this case, I'm ok with it since everybody can see the lack of accountability. Not exactly some closed doors secret atp. |

You needed a notarized letter to start the Bills GDT, which you were never going to do, and now you're pinning the rest of the season on a "mod schedule" that is nothing more than a few names with several blank spaces so you don't have to actually put anything on the line. |

Then you and DartGod got involved and decided who would post the Raider GDT. Evidently there was a promise to Raiderhater to start that thread. I was okay with that because it occurred before I said I'd start the game day threads till I lose. I was willing to start them all until I lose so it wasnt one and done to me. So dont go changing history to fit your narrative. |
Is any of this really that serious???

Only record fans should care about is team titles. Green Bay is not being caught anytime soon. As for QB's with SB wins, Mahomes needs to get to 4 (Bradshaw and Montana) before he gets to 7. And it is a lot about narrative and unless Belichick makes a deep playoff run like a close AFC championship game loss with NE, it will be tough for any QB, especially Mahomes, even with 8 rings to surpass Brady. Belichick's lack of success without Brady does hurt Belichick a bit but it enhances Brady. Reid may not have won Super Bowls without Mahomes but he went to many NFC championship games and one SB. People already know about Gronk and Kelce. Gronk at his best was better than Kelce but Kelce probably ends up with the better career due to better durability/less major injuries. But this may be the season in which Kelce finally slows down. Gronk at his absolute best was just a beast but the NFL beat him up. Gronk had 20 TDs in 17 games while also being an outstanding blocker before he got a high ankle sprain in 2nd game of the playoffs vs Baltimore. That in all likelihood cost the patriots a SB win. |

And why not care about things like the record for hosting consecutive or total AFCCGs? That directly impacts fans in terms of watching games live in their stadium and hell, even economic impact. I care about records that directly impact the entertainment value of what I'm watching.... not shit that happened decades before I was born (which of course goes for the Chiefs' first SB victory). |
We have to re sign Sneed. He has locked down every #1 WR we have gone against

If you are a Chiefs or Patriots season ticket holder, I can certainly see you caring a lot about your favorite team hosting AFC championship games and playoff games in general. But as someone usually watching the playoffs on TV, I'd rather watch a road playoff win in AFC championship game than a home win. Now obviously first round byes and home playoff games make SB appearances much more likely so from that perspective, you root for the #1 seed. The Patriots have done it 3 times in their entire history but I liked them winning road AFC championship games more than home championships simply since it is harder to do. More than a few long time Patriots fans like the win against the Dolphins in the AFC championship games more than most of the SB wins. The realistic fans knew it would take a miracle to beat the Bears so that blowout loss hardly spoiled beating the Dolphins. As for the Packers, they had 6 championships from 29 to around 1944 before not really winning again until 60's. A few people would still be alive for those early championships but even if they were not, I wouldn't devalue them too much simply based upon date. It is like a historian devaluing George Washington. I can see just counting those championships 1/2 credit because a lot less teams, NFL football wasn't integrated or as popular as it later became but players, especially quarterbacks and receivers, from the mid 70's, may want to discredit everything starting in around 1979 for their own reasons. Even if you discount Green Bay's early championships by 1/2, they still get 10 which is impressive since it was done in Green Bay and not a place like NY. I won't name drop by my father grew up with someone who played 2 championship seasons with the Green Bay packers in the 1960's. Still some people around that vividly remember those Packer teams from the 60's if they saw them play. The other thing which some people in their 40's, 50's and even 60's may not appreciate, Joe Montana's first championship is pretty much closer to Green Bay's first championship in 1929 to whoever wins this upcoming season. Plenty of Chiefs fans still remember Montana in a KC uniform. |

One day I looked through the discussion and put dates beside what was being talked about (in other words, summarizing/organizing the discussion). I can't help it if it gets blown up to looking like an act of Congress, but was just pointing out that it's not. nut dutifully did his job. Pablo unceremoniously started a thread a couple weeks ago and Hater will this week. .... and sometimes someone will talk about starting one for 20 posts and brag and what not for five years. |
