And then we stick $1000 phones in our $1000 purses next to the $500 wallet and $100 keychain.

And we don't carry guns.

I want to be all grounded and say that I don't pay for prestige, but the truth is I'm a lemming in some areas. I owned BMW roadsters for 20 years and I wasn't buying them for the performance. Other than the Armani (which are so comfortable), those are mainstream brands, though, and I don't see myself ever moving further up the food chain.

This.

I was thinking the other day. When I got out of high school in 08 or 09 I bought a 99 Trans Am Ws6. I was 20ish and drove it like a ****ing asshole. I passed an Oklahoma highway patrol going the other way on the will Rogers turnpike doing 173. If I had Rashees money and connections it would have been so much worse. I was pretty level headed and never in trouble really. But with the power on tap its impossible for a young bull not to use it.

I'm not a loyalist on socks. My top pairs right now tend to be socks that I get at art museums or national parks. They tend to be high quality, especially the national park socks.

For running socks, I used to be loyal to a local company (Broomfield or Westminster or some place). Then the guy went out of business, but his website is still up taking orders. He just keeps the money and doesn't send the socks, as I learned with my final order.

I was born at UCLA and I'm a terrible Filipino. In that generation you wanted to be as Americanized as possible. She picked a Playboy Playmate's name for me as a quintessential American girl and refused to teach me Tagalog.

Now she sighs at me when I sit with her Filipino mafia. But I've worked since 13 and will work until I die, so I'm a good enough Filipino. And of course totally lovable.

In the long run, this will help the Chiefs. He'll play harder because now he really needs that second contract, and other teams will shy away from him due to his troublesome behavior.

Went to pick it up and they had an M12 impact driver for $65. "Tool only" - okay, still a good price. "Can you open cabinet"

They open it, none in there. She goes to the back and says "I can sell the display but it's part of this set with 2 batteries, a charger and a hard case - you can have 'em, same price..."

So hey, $65 for a nice little Milwaukee impact driver and a couple batteries. That's essentially a free impact driver; the batteries alone cost more than that.

So - score.

I buy pricey shoes, but pricey in the sense they have a bit more functionality than typical tennis shoes, such as Merrell hiking shoes. Of course those are still only like $150 and I’m still half afraid to wear them and “ruin” them. I can’t imagine putting on $1,000 shoes and going outside in them. I’d be terrified.

I think other teams would gladly scoop him up if the Chiefs drop him. Buffalo would do it. So would the Ravens or Bengals.

Pretty unlikely the NFL would do this. It's far more likely that they would take him away from us and give him to Buffalo.

I think the bigger point is that his market will certainly take a little bit of a hit because of perceived risk.

We’ll see how it goes. It would be nice if he can stay out of trouble long enough to find out his market in a few years. KC still gave Tyreek $18M per year even with some baggage hanging over him. And then he got $25M per year from the Dolphins.

Insurance limits will more than cover these costs. That's why he most likely admit he was driving the Lambo, as it looked to be the cause of the accident. He will get a fine and probation for a misdemeanor and 2 games from the NFL. IMO

Rashee Rice Breaks Silence On Car Crash

Found this: Rashee Rice released an apology on social media regarding Saturday night's car crash / Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Rashee Rice finally broke his silence regarding Saturday night's six-vehicle car crash in Dallas, Texas, posting an apology to social media and taking responsibility for his role in the incident that injured four people.

While he had already released a statement through his attorney, this is the first public comments explicitly from Rice since the accident.

Here's what he had to say:

Rashee Rice Apologizes For Role in Car Crash

Posting on Instagram, Rice said, "Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday's accident. I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday's accident."

It's unclear what potential punishment awaits the former second-round pick, who broke out with the Chiefs to become a pivotal offensive weapon for the Super Bowl champions, or if he'll be prosecuted by Dallas police.

However, we know that the Chiefs are monitoring the situation, as is the NFL through a statement released by their PR team.

Originally from Texas, Rice went to SMU before being selected by the Chiefs in the 2023 NFL Draft. He caught 79 passes for 938 yards and seven TDs in his rookie campaign. There were, and still are, big expectations in the fanbase for his future in Kansas City, though his immediate future depends on the outcome of this investigation.

I've used one before. It's a little spendy (the EGO's are cheaper and get great reviews; thought about going with their newer 56v - the one they came out with in 2022 has an upgraded motor) and it did a nice job. Haven't ever run the battery out though; was using my buddy's dads along with his gas saw out at the farm just to get a feel for how they cut.

In terms of pure cutting ability, it did well. Maybe not quite as fast as his Stihl but might have been - I wouldn't want to be making a living off the difference. And the new 'slow pull' saws that Stihl has just annoy me. I want to be able to throw that sucker away from me as I start it. The slow pulls won't do that, you almost have to start them on the ground. I'm sure that's safer and smarter and all that but it's just not how I've done it and so I find myself getting annoyed by them.

Honestly if you're not sure you want one, maybe try that Ego. Had I not used the Milwaukee before, the Ego is the route I'd have gone. But knowing it does the job vs. having a bunch of people tell me the Ego will do the job pushed me towards the former. Sight unseen, that Ego looks like a very nice little saw for a couple hundred bucks.

There were, and still are, big expectations in the fanbase for his future in Kansas City, though his immediate future depends on the outcome of this investigation.

Why would I be doing that? No lawyer'd up guy is going to say anything that incriminating at this stage. I know you think you're smart (lol) but come on dude.

I own a bunch of woods and it would be super easy to just throw an electric in the bed of the gator and cut a few limbs after a wind storm opposed to the gas which is great if I'm cutting down a tree or using it for a few hours.

Yeah, I'm going to get a chinese knockoff battery as a backup. It looks like the battery technology has come a really long way but it's still a limiting factor. Maybe 50 cuts out of a 5 inch log? And if you're really going to town you'll probably overheat the battery. They're not for heavy work.

You could fell a tree with one of these guys but you're not going to get far breaking it up afterwards.

But I've put that Milwaukee at the farm through a 12 inch trunk on a live red oak and similar sized walnuts. It doesn't play around. And I've seen similar from the Egos. They'll cut shit. But you're not gonna get a days use out of them. If you're pruning a grove or something, just bring a gas can...

I hope Mahomes uses words like nincompoop and scallywag to fully impress upon Rice the disdain he holds for such behavior.

My brother has an Ego and I was blown away what that thing could do as long as you have a spare battery to charge while you use the other one.

Proper mental take from you that. Even if it comes to light he wasn't at the wheel.

maybe if you were a true fan you would know that "true fan" is a meme

my god you get dumber with every post. plz study the lexicon, noob

True Fan: Sometimes shortened to 'Truefan' , this is an affectionate term for someone who has proven themselves a 'Homer' and can take any negative situation then turn it around into a positive. The only real, genuine fan because people who say negative things about anything related to the Chiefs cannot be true fans.

The best thing about this thread remains OP's avatar.

That's just some damn fine work right there...

That’s true… I open this thread multiple times a day just for that purpose.

Given that you clearly didn't use "true fans" in the context of that stupid definition of yours, it kind of makes your whole point redundant.

I did read your post. It makes no sense whatsoever to state that in your opinion the people who think he's guilty are not homers or "true fans" as you said. Had you tied it down to an individual post where the person states their credentials as a Chiefs fan/homer but goes on to say "...but he guilty as helllll lol" then it would work. But as you didn't, it doesn't.

Plus the sheer amount of babyish nonsense you've spewed over the past few days in here leads me to the obvious conclusion that you weren't blanket calling them people "not homers" or "not true fans". You were actually saying they weren't really Chiefs fans.

Own it dickhead. You've overreacted and are trying to backtrack. It's pathetic.
