I'm sorry to say this there's a reason Nolan Smith was still there, just like Nakobe Dean last year.

Smith is rotating in and looks decent if unspectacular, which I'd expect early on. They have the luxury of being able to do this. Carter is exactly as advertised, a better run defender than Hargrave and already an effective pass rusher. Dean, I dunno, maybe he's the bust. The big question is the secondary but again Sydney Brown looks good. It still looks like a VERY good draft to me given what they needed to replace.

Good for Stroud, but all NFL GMs who kept going to the Ohio State well for QBs for years and years should all be drug out into the street and shot

Stroud though is nothing like the others, like can anyone look and Justin Fields and CJ Stroud and see any thing similar other than their college?

It's early but CJ Stroud has looked incredibly good so far on a young team without Tunsil. Back-to-back 100+ rating games, 4 TD's/0 INT's and on pace to throw for 5k yards.

Just watching him on Sunday has me really impressed. I think he's gonna be a guy to look at moving forward.

Panthers ****ed up far worse. At this point the Bears have positioned themselves for a ridiculously quick rebuild, even if Fields inevitably busts out completely.

The Panthers are a boob of an organization, even if you love Bryce Young he's never going to make it through NFL seasons.

I still can't believe they drafted a kid that looks like he's 5 ft 180 lbs. and guess what? He's already hurt.

I should retract the Bears being ****ed and put it on Ryan Poles bc his goddamned ass is getting fired in about 3 months bc he didn't wanna draft this kid.

It just goes to show that it doesn't matter what helmet a kid wears. Ohio State QB's have sucked forever but Stroud looks different.

The Texans had a great draft and are building quite the team

Howie showed why he's a master with this draft.

There's no doubt that Roseman is good. It'll be interesting to see how he handles the increasing contracts.

The young players on rookie deals he's drafted the past few years would be my gues.

They certainly look good on defense. What about that O?

Agreed.

Stroud was so clearly the best QB prospect in this draft that I said for weeks in the draft forum "Nah - this is a bullshit smokescreen. There's no way the Panthers traded up to take Bryce !@#$ing Young."

Stroud's going to be a good quarterback. Maybe not great, but he's legit.

Well, he flipped a fourth rounder for a RB that's 2nd in the league in rushing thru a couple weeks and he found his All Pro LT from a Rugby league.

Seems like he'll figure it out.

The Swift thing is the rest of the NFL being idiotic...you give up a 4 next year...odds are if you use Swift you'll get that pick back as a comp pick.
