I have to say, we lost a few legit stars this off season, but i wager that the wr room and db room are both waaaay better than last year.

We have more of a total room than a stars and scrubs look.

Alright DJ - are we disappointed again at 103 or does Veach get back on track?

I REALLY want Mathis, but who know what will be available at that point.

You and DJ forgot more about this drafts players in the last 5 minutes than I know total. But, I’m still going with in Veach we trust.

Not a big fan of that pick.

Would have much rather have moved up to get Jackson or take your pick at DT.

I’m going to deep dive into Brian Cook now, though. I didn’t see S as a pressing need so I never even look much at the early safeties.

S was a need, because Matheau isn't here anymore and the Chiefs did not bring back Sorensen (thankfully).

So it was a need, even when they already signed Justin Reid, someone has to be the 3rd safety to replace Sorensen.

Keeping Clark and restructuring him was the lesser of two evils. If you put some others around him maybe he performs.

Well if anyone is going to get anything out of Frank it will be Cullen.

And that doesn’t require a 2nd round pick.

Bush.

It’s not a need

The Chiefs have the luxury of not going after boom / bust players. Luxury of having a solid team led by Patrick Mahomes. Last year they got some solid foundational guys. This year, they've got guys who fill spots (an inside/outside receiver, a Sorensen role player safety, a DE who may be a rotational run support guy early on). Apart from McDuffie, I'm not sure any of these guys are pro bowlers, but they all feel like sure bets to make a solid impact.

So my best guess is we’ll bring in a vet DE and that’s it for this season.

Which is fine, but does that actually solve our problem?

Couch-Potato 04-29-2022 07:41 PM

I like this new more physical Chiefs team we're putting together.

We've added x3 hard-hitting DBs + x2 big & tall WR's.

Coming together

Probably not, it'll probably take more than 1 draft to fix that problem. Unless something weird happens like Danna or Kaindoh suddenly developing.

Trade up for Travis Jones right now.
