The jets d is as good as the chiefs

I'm not backing off my prediction that Rex will find a way to ruin Geno. Ryan is that bad.
After tonight's game, it will be a little harder for the "Geno is trash" crowd to argue he was a bust right out of the box, rather than Rex just ruining him. Probably by screwing with his head, but he will find some way to ruin him I believe. |

Let it go for crying out loud. The Chiefs didn't draft him. What is the point of harping on this continually?

Bottom line is Geno is a Jet. KC made their choice, so sure... enjoy the Geno ride all you want... but try and leave behind the childish tantrums of him not being a Chief. Enjoy the KC ride too, and don't misdirect your displeasure of Reid's choice to the QB. Alex is here because Reid and Dorsey wanted him here. He is here to do his absolute best to win as many KC games as possible. So you mad, bro? Be mad at the HC and GM. |
Nice to see Geno have a good game. The kid is oozing with potential. If he can just clean up the TO's, the Jets will have themselves a nice QB.
Personally, I think Geno looked better last night than Alex Smith has at any point this season. And the Chiefs have played some shitty defenses as well. |
smith is a rookie playing with the worst collection of offensive talent in the league...and has more passing yards, the same number of tds, and a higher completion percentage then the 9 year vet playing with Charles and Bowe
that's called upside... |

1) When Geno has had poor games - like the week before, when he turned it over a bunch - the anti-Geno crowd has bumped the thread to mock him and those of us who thought he had big-time potential. So when Geno has a GOOD game, the pro-Geno crowd is going to do the same. 2) The Chiefs made a clear choice between Geno Smith and Alex Smith. If Geno becomes a star NFL QB sooner rather than later (Not a guarantee but he certainly has flashed the potential multiple times), and Alex Smith remains a middle-of-the-pack guy, the Chiefs FO chose incorrectly. |

Why are you setting 8 years as the mark for comparing the two? Doesn't make sense to me. If Geno turns into a star (By the end of next season, or the end of this season) and becomes a BETTER player than Alex Smith, you can compare it at that point. As it is, Alex Smith's current leg up rests solely on his ball protection (which runs his passer rating a measly 3.5 points higher than Geno Smith's). Geno is superior in other key measures (completion percentage, YPA) or even (TD passes). We were told Alex Smith was the right move for KC because it allowed the Chiefs to win NOW. It is starting to look like KC could have had its cake and eaten it, too, with Geno Smith. |
