This is just something Smart said to coaches after the game to explain his actions. Its a cop out. I watched two different versions from the sideline this occured that HAD audio and the fan DID NOT say anything racial. It appeared he said piece of shit. Dont get me wrong, not honorable, but pushing a fan? **** that guy. Our player Jamari Traylor got hip checked by a rabid fan, AFTER a loss and took the high road. So proud of Traylor there. Handled himself well

There's no way anybody here could possibly know that, but it doesn't surprise me that a Smart hater would be on that asshole fan's side in that dispute.

He never developed like he could have after that sophomore season, but he's still a pretty good defender. He's also basically the 3rd big right now (as Bragg and Diallo can't be trusted to give much of anything at all), so he still has a reasonably important role going forward into March.
