I'm officially a Jorge Lopez fan. That was the best Royals pitching performance I've watched since Appier's 1 hit complete game where he lost (the only hit was a Palmeiro home run). Lopez also threw a gem in his prior start against Baltimore.
I'm assuming we have him quite awhile due to pre-arbitration years right? If so, I'm excited to see what he ends up doing in the long run. |

It's looking like Dayton did a pretty good job on that Moose trade. In a time where nobody gets anything decent for rental players anymore, he may have gotten two major league players with upside for a guy we signed for $6 million. Time will tell. |

Royals lost 2 out of 3 to the Twins over the weekend and still lost ground on the #1 overall pick. That is such a Royals thing to do.

You may have all missed it due to Saint Patrick yesterday, but Captain red-ass Madison Bumgarner got his feelings hurt and intentionally hit a batter to load the bases for the Brewers. The next batter proceeded to roast a grand slam.
MadBum, at this point, has been more of an ***hole than Yo ever was. Even Giants fans are getting sick of his thin-skinned garbage. |

There are so many teams tanking at this point the standings look terrible. I wonder if any of these teams are going to switch course and try to be competitive faster. There's literally 6-7 competitive teams in the entire AL and that's being generous. The flip side is the playoff teams are all going to have 90 wins. I can't tell if that's because they are all time great teams or half the league is garbage. Baltimore is 56.5 games out of first place. They'll probably end up more than 60 games back. That's absurd.
