Except both teams had the same number of drives today.

Exactly. It's WHAT YOU DO with those drives (offensive production) that matters.

Those pesky...facts.

We were 50% on 3rd down but let the other team convert more than 2/3 of theirs. If you don't see the problem, please find help.

TB was playing with a banged up o-line..and weren't very good when healthy. No team is going to get pressure if holding is ignored all game. Even if it was called that way for both sides...it negates KC's advantage of superior defensive talent. ..not to mention the noise and snap count that Arrowhead brings.

It was VERY out of the ordinary...and went against how the Bucs have performed all season. They were tied for the worst o-line in the NFL...but looked like Dallas today.

Very interesting that you recognized how simple non-calls negated one team's strengths to the point that it possibly affected the very outcome of the game.

It's those things that make you go "hmmmmm".

So...is Andy Reid absolutely incompetent and completely stupid...or is he complacent?

He sure didn't object when the refs picked up the flag on the flagrant offensive PI on Evans. He called a timeout at the end of the half to help TB score a FG. He made a terrible play call on 2nd down that led to an INT, then called running plays when time was a factor and the team had to score twice to win.

Is he stupid or is he in on it?

bottomline

Bucs-19 points
Chiefs-17 points

Truthfully, all other things equal :

They got points off their turnover.

Our offense was incapable of turning the Winston fumble into points.

Game over.

No...you couldn't maintain that level of energy if you knew it was for naught.

The officials absolutely dictate games....and anyone that thinks otherwise simply chooses to ignore it.

KC gets off the field on a few of those drives and they win...instead of a third down pass conversion they are slapped with a 10 yard penalty.

It was glaring to me...I was watching that facet all game.

It was almost halftime before the first penalty was thrown...the commentators mentioned it would have been the only time this season that happened....160 games.

I'll consign to this statement. The officials absolutely dictate the outcome of games, and anyone who chooses to think otherwise is absolutely ignoring it...and today is a fantastic example. With just enough suck from ReidSmith for people to intimate that the Chiefs also didn't play well enough to win.

But yeah, lots of holding went uncalled. I seem to remember Poe getting clothes lined on one play. It was very WWE-esque out there today, that's for sure.

Except we only had 8 attempts to convert 3rd down they had 16.

That's the difference between an offense that has long sustained drives compared to one that doesn't. But go ahead and keep grasping at straws.

Actually 2 of 6 pre INT, but he was 2/2 on the 4 minute TD drive for a whopping 4/8 on 3rd down.

Anything that goes to support his argument that Alex isn't culpable for this (or any other) loss.

No. Last year we held teams to 34% of third downs converted. Today we allowed 68%........

Who's QB rating was better. Smith or Winston?

I don't give a ****.

Each team had one turnover today.

The one team that was able to convert that turnover into points, won the ****ing game.

What you THINK or how you FEEL doesn't matter. I don't care what numbers you drudge up or what the **** kind of jibber jabber bullshit you think justifies your position. I seriously don't.

One team was able to turn their turnover into points, and that team won. That is indisputable fact.

Doesn't matter, QB ratings are stupid and don't mean a ****ing thing.

The only thing that matters are points and wins.

The offense didn't get enough of one to get the other.

Only an ignorant pussy would blame an NFL defense for a loss after only giving up 19 points while being besieged by injuries.

TU still acting like Alex Smith played well today?
